Dr Lemieux has been our family dentist for me, my husband and three children for over 25 years.
I have had many issues with my teeth so I’m no stranger to the dentist chair. Dr. Lemieux is extremely caring, thorough, compassionate and does an amazing job. He works quickly and keeps the pain at a minimum.
I have referred friends and have witnessed through them and our family members, that he varies his style to match the individual needs of each patient.
Of all of the health care professionals with which I have dealt (which is considerable), he is the one I would most miss should I leave the area.
In addition, his staff is knowledgeable, dedicated, thorough and very friendly while maintaining their professionalism. These people set a very high standard

My children and I have seen Dr. Lemieux for more than 15 years. In fact, he’s the only dentist my children have ever seen. He is the consummate professional. He is patient and kind and an expert dentist. His staff is, also, professional and kind. The whole office makes ‘going to the dentist’ a very pleasant experience!
Dr. Lemiuex is, also, incredibly gracious! When we had a foster child put in our care, Dr. Lemieux took care of him pro bono.

Dr. Steven Lemieux was my dentist for at least 10 years. I always thought he did a pretty decent job until I had my second partial made by him. When it came in, I went to his office and when he showed it to me I was surprised with how full the palate was. It was an upper partial and I had only a lower before that. With nothing to compare it to I left his office figuring I would try to adapt. And of course he had told me if there were «any» problems, to just return and he would take care of me. I had no reason to distrust him ever so I went home and tried to get used to it. I found it very uncomfortable. I returned to his office after a couple weeks and he proceeded to grind the palate portion down but it never fit correctly after that. I really think he ground too much of it off for it to ever work without putting major fixadent on it. It is not in line with my other teeth and it looks retarded to me. The color does not match at all. I called his office back twice and his office didn’t return my call either time probably because I stated on the voicemail that I still had issues with the partial. The partial is embarrassing. It is one of the two very front top teeth. Very noticeable. I feel like I totally wasted over $ 600 for something I wish I didn’t have to wear. But I am in no position to pay for another. I hate it. It depresses me.
Then I got a tooth infection. A horribly painful one. When I called the office they wanted me to come in and be seen. I found that very unreasonable because I could barely talk on the phone without crying. I was in an extreme amount of pain. So I refused to come to the office. It’s not like I had ever abused our dentist/​patient relationship before. I think he had prescribed me antibiotics half a dozen times max in 10 years and every other time he has not required me to come to his office first. He has made two partials for me. Deep cleaned my teeth a few times. I had in fact paid for part of one deep cleaning and when it was done I decided to prepay for the other quadrants in advance. But when I was ready to have it done his secretary’s tried to say they had no record of my payment (credit). He luckily remembered me paying and said he would go ahead and finish the job. But I never made it in to get the rest done. So actually he owes me a few hundred. But back to this toothache… He called in a script for 4 antibiotics. My boyfriend brought them home to me and I was like «what the heck?» So I called the office and they finally called and corrected it after denying it was their wrongdoing. But I was a few hours late on taking another scheduled dose by the time he phoned them in again. It was not very professional of him. In the meantime I emailed to him a picture of my face. That way he could see I was not trying to pull something dishonest on him. When he saw the picture he said «you need to go to the ER immediately» then I said «it seems to be getting better sir. But he said to me «you need to go to a dentist that can deal with caring for a gum disease». So right in the middle of this infection he is dumping me cause he doesn’t want to deal with me anymore. I told him that I felt very mistreated. That he could at least wait until I was over the infection. But he refused and there was nothing I could do to change his mind. Not only was I trying to deal with a very bad infection but now he wants me to deal with finding another dentist on top of everything else. I decided then that I was finished with him no matter what. My conclusion is this… He knew he was gonna be out $ 600 because I was not satisfied with the work he did on my partial. I did not like the way he treated me and felt his staff were very unprofessional. I guess if everything goes perfect he is ok. But don’t rock the boat or you will be thrown overboard cause he won’t like it. That’s not the way to be when you are a professional. No way!

Dr Lemieux has been seeing me since I was very young. I have terrible, terrible fear of dentists, which was exacerbated by an accident I had. I was walking in a pedestrian walkway when a (probably drunk) driver hit me with his car. I suffered four broken teeth, and it caused some severe dental trauma that I have (hopefully) finished dealing with this year. The accident was 8 years ago. Doctor Lemieux came in on his day off to help me. I can’t begin to describe what having four open nerves feels like in your mouth, but I was so grateful that Dr Lemieux took time out of his own personal life to help me. Since then, I have been (even more) terrified of needles and pain, and Dr Lemieux knows all this and keeps the needles out of sight. It sounds silly, but it is a huge help for my phobia to not see them. He also explains everything as it’s happening, and I feel in complete control. If I feel any pain (which is never), all I need to do is raise my hand and he will stop. I can’t say enough about him. He also allows (promotes, even!) bringing in your iPod to listen to music during any procedure. This has been massively helpful, and you can crank it up as loud as you like to drown out the drill noises! He will give you a light shoulder tap if he needs to tell you anything. As far as shots go, he’s the best. He puts a numbing gel on your gums ahead of time, and I haven’t felt a thing! Also, his dental hygienists are beyond reproach. They are sweet and kind and have a very light touch, even when they are scraping off a heap of plaque. Overall, I can’t even imagine going to anyone else. He is the most considerate and patient doctor of any kind I have ever dealt with, and I can’t recommend him and his staff highly enough.
