This is a great Y. In fact I believe this ymca encapsulates the theory and vision of all y’s. It’s community all the way. My family just joined 2 months ago and I have been so happy with our choice to do so. Best part about being a ymca Member is the ability to use any ymca in the city! That’s awesome– we have visited a few other around town and they are all great.
One specifically wonderful thing about the Red Bridge YMCA is the classes. They may not have the largest selection… however they have Mary! She teaches several of their classes and she is AHHHMMMAZING. Seriously. I’ve gone to several gyms and have had personal trainers over the years and she is by far one of the best instructors, so informed and has a genuine care for her classes that you just can’t put a price on. If you live in the neighborhood and you are a stay at home mom or dad and have kids the child watch is so helpful. Before joining the Y I’d have to hurry in a lame workout at home or go at 5 am. Now I can take my kids to play and do crafts with I’m keeping it tight! So win win!
