Not sure how other reviewers had such apparently substandard experiences but I’m stoked to discover a new Mexican restaurant specializing in seafood in town.
This place is definitely popular with locals. I was pleased to see so many full tables and quite a turnover as we casually lunched.
The bowl of ceviche that comes with the tostada-​type chips was delicious and generously proportioned. To my mind you’re getting a full blown appetizer for free so who could complain?!
We had two margaritas, perhaps a hair on the sweeter side than I prefer but they were still tasty. One of us had a pasta dish with grilled chicken and broccoli. Not the expected option at a Mexican restaurant but it was excellent. The chicken had a spicy though not «hot» marinade and it worked really well with the pasta. I had excellent shrimp enchiladas.
Service was friendly and prompt. We were greeted by I presume the owner as we entered and she warmly said goodbye as we left.
Looking forward to exploring the menu. Literally over a dozen different shrimp combinations as well as grouper, red snapper, octopus etc. I think this place has a bright future in KCK.

I was really expecting more from this place after hearing friends rave about it as well as it was packed the Sunday evening we went. I will have to say the drinks we had were very good. I would deff go back for Pina Colada. The hot entrees we had were tasty nothing truly impressed us about them but nothing was bad about them either. They do give you that seafood dip for free with your chips and salsa so that is a plus about this place. One thing that I did not care for was the service. It was rather slow and entrees seem to come out at all different times even though they were ordered at the same time. This seemed to be common with other parties sitting around us. I was disappointed in the oysters on the half shell we had. They came out on a plate with no ice. They were also not very cold. They were not offered with anything but limes on the side. I was wanting some cocktail sauce but did not bother asking as we rarely saw the server. We did use the lime and put a dab of hot sauce on each of them. They were warm and did not taste fresh like other raw oysters I have had. My friend had the Shrimp Cocktail which looked delicious and from what she said she enjoyed it. If the oysters would have been fresh and over ice as well as the service a bit better I would have given this place at least 4 stars.

I love Mexican food so when I saw this place had opened I thought I would give it a try. We went in on a week day around 2:00 and their was maybe 10 other people eating. It took 5 minutes for the waitress to come take our order, I got two tacos with rice and a coke. 5 minutes later she brings us our drinks (can of coke) and chips and salsa. The chips were rock hard and the salsa was horrible. 30 minutes later we were still waiting for our food and had not seen a waitress since she took our order. I put 2 dollars on the table and stood up to leave when the manager saw me she knew I was mad and came over and told me it was coming out now. I told her it was ridiculous explained my view, she said she would take care of it so I sat back down. I should have left because I have had better tacos at taco bell. The manager refused to apologize or give me a discount. I would never go back.

My bestie and I toddled in here for lunch last Saturday. It wasn’t busy and there was no one at the door. I saw someone at the bar, waved a greeting, she smiled and came over and seated us. This joint caters to the immigrant community but they happily speak English and were very polite and accommodating even though I do speak Spanish. Anyway, they have a very nice menu of mainly Mexican seafood. Don’t come here if all you want is cheese slathered Tex-​Mex. Many people will not recognize these dishes and probably have a cow looking at pulpo (octopus), camarones (shirmp) and ostiones (oysters). There are some turf items such as chicken enchiladas and some other non-​seafood items to please the straggler who will not touch seafood. They serve a small bowl of ceviche with round, crispy corn tortillas, salsa and limes. It was delicious! I had the Enchiladas Coras which were shrimp enchiladas and they were outstanding. Lots of shrimp, white cheese on top. No skimping here, served with rice and salad. I had a side of beans to go with. My besties had chicken enchiladas and he said they were superb. This ran us about $ 28 including drinks which isn’t bad but it’s not your cheaping $ 7 or $ 8 lunch special. I saw a lot of the seafood soups and other dishes coming out and they were quite impressive. I will be coming back.

The food was horrible. My wife and I live not far away and make it a point to try every new restaurant. I ordered a ceviche it tasted like canned tuna. The tacos I ordered were horrible and the red salsa they used tasted like pace.

I’m from California and came to Kansas to visit my BF and found this place they have them all over cali. And OMG i waS SO HAPPY to find this place taste the same as cali great food and people

My husband and I were anxious to try a new restaurant in our neighborhood! We had a rough start and waited about 15 minutes to be greeted by our server. My husband and I each ordered the taco dinner…3 tacos, beans, and rice as well as an order of queso. My husband tried to order a margarita but was told that they didn’t have liquor yet. After waiting an hour, I received my dinner only and we never received my husband’s or our queso. Our waitress brought his food out after we asked for our check, asking if he wanted to take it home, but we declined. She was apologetic and said that it was «very hectic back there.» They clearly specialize in seafood which is fine. The tacos were not good. The chicken was cold and not worth waiting an hour for. The atmosphere was fine and the restaurant was clean and new looking. We should have gotten up and left when we were never greeted by a server, but really wanted to give this place a shot. We won’t be returning. Not really worthy of any stars.

Great service; Regina has been my waitress both times I’ve been here. The first time I came was the week they opened. They took a while to get my food out, but were apologetic. It is delicious. They start you out with a complimentary ceviche tostada which is listed on their menu for 3.50; that was a nice perk. I ordered the shrimp empanadas the first time and the shrimp quesadillas this time. I wanted to keep my budget for lunch under ten with tip. It was right at $ 6 each te; therefore I leave a tip of what I would’ve paid for the tostada. I’ll continue dining here during lunch. The main entrees are too expensive in my opinion. Very clean and friendly. I gave four stars because I agree with the other reviews in that for the area, it’s expensive. They have a lot of tv’s which would make for a fun game watch party with friends.

Family of four dinning in. Staff was friendly. Building had been remodeled and looked a lot better than previously. We all had some type of fajitas either shrimp chicken beef or combination. Everybody drank water.
Service was a little slow and forgetful but not too bad. Live music was played on a Friday night but needed better presentation for tips. Good musicians though! Food was the short coming for sure. Menu is a good idea but tough in this area. Cost with tip was around $ 75, but not worth it to me. We will not return due to average food.

Superior service and friendly staff. They all seemed so happy to see me. Delicious seafood menu. I had the shrimp cocktail and seafood empanadas. Great music and atmosphere. Huge TVs too! If you eat here, invite me!
