I received my medical license in 1989 and created Midtown Family Medicine in 2009 to serve patients, not just treat their ailments. My focus is your health.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Thompson was born at Saint Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza in 1957. He graduated from University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas and completed his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He received his residency training at Trinity Lutheran Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and joined an established private practice in Gladstone, Missouri in 1989. He returned to the hospital at which he was born in 2000 to teach and continue his practice in Family Medicine. Dr. Thompson has an active Family Medicine Practice as well as an nine year clinical practice in the area of Blood Management. His broad knowledge in managing patients of all ages and experience in critical care, are important foundations for his practice in Blood Management. Dr. Thompson enjoys exercise, fly fishing, walks, and cooking. Dr. Thompson’s personal motto for patient care is to provide comprehensive health care to each individual focusing on all aspects to our health: physical, mental, emotional.
