Connect Quickly

I had high hopes when I first came across this service. I was curios about speed dating and thought I would give it a whirl. As it turns out this particular service appears to be a scam. I signed up. Paid the $ 30 entrance fee a head of time as required, but when I arrived was told the event was canceled. The excuse being that it rained, the event was indoors so that did not really make since, but at the time shrugged my shoulders and said oh well.
Weeks later though no one from KC Speeding responded to any attempt to contact them. I eventually had to dispute the charge, which after a month and a half was finally refunded. They never even responded to the dispute process.
Other signs this is a scam, are that KC Speed dating is apparently affiliated with a shadow company named «Elite Marketing Group». If you Google «Elite Marketing Group» the very first Google auto complete option that comes up is «Elite Marketing Group Scam». So apparently most of the people looking up this company are doing so in relation to scams.
If you too have been sucked into this scam, the owner of «Elite Marketing Group» can be found on Linkedin, and the company appears to be registered somewhere in Raytown. Contact me I can provide you with specifics if needed.
UPDATE: Looks like after getting negative reviews in a number of places they decided to change their name to protect the guilty. They are now branding them self’s as Connect Quickly. New web site, but looks like pretty much the same deal as before. Still run by the same shadow company (Elite Marketing Group). This time they registered them self’s as a PO Box, presumably to make tracking them down harder.
UPDATE: Ahmad B’s claim they give full refunds is false. As already reported in my review they did NOT provide any refunds and would not respond at all. I had to have my bank reverse the charge which took a month. Also The three positive reviews that suddenly just appeared are suspicious at best. They all appeared within a day of each other, and are profiles that were just created and have no other reviews but this one. Smells a lot like yet another under handed trick by this company to try to rig Unilocal
