Big lots is a hit or miss kind of store. You never know what you will find & if it’s out dated. Yep, watch out for that.
A lot of items are only minimally discounted so I don’t know why I ever return?! I think, that I think im going to miss something.

A decent place for random décor and other «fluff», if you visit after they get a shipment in. Furniture is ok as well for accent pieces, though we bought our king size pillowtop Serta mattress here for $ 799. We came back a few years later for bunk beds, $ 199, which held up well, but the style seemed dated. For a kids’ room it was fine.
Big Lots is generally pretty messy and the merchandise is overflowing some days, other days it looks picked over. For stuff like ziplock sandwich bags, a new kitchen trash can, patio décor and inexpensive throw pillows it’s fine.
Great for back to school stuff but go early in the season (mid July).
