This review is for customer service. We ordered a hat online that was to be delivered nearby in KC right before Christmas. They accidentally shipped the wrong hat. They were able to intercept the UPS shipment before it got delivered. Anyways someone from their store then called up my husband, apologized for all the confusion, and said he was personally driving the hat to where we wanted it shipped so it got there before Christmas. So nice of them. We’ve order things from here before and they’ve always been responsive, helpful, and really friendly.

Hands down the BEST fitting pair of jeans I’ve ever purchased. Compliments to Cameron and staff for expertly directing me to the small but perfectly curated women’s section of the store, helping me find the right size and offering complimentary hemming services. They even delivered the finished pair to my hotel! Top notch customer service. Please support this local business and it’s sister store, Standard Style. You’ll be glad you did.

Great shopping experience! I heard about the Brand in a blog last week and wanted to support the KC company, but knew nothing about the fits. I was greeted as soon as I entered the door by a friendly salesman. He was knowledgable and took the time to help me find the perfect pair. This is the caliber of customer service that I’d expect from a high end retailer — made me that much more pleased to rep and refer others to Baldwin!

I like it when stores have chairs by the door makes me feel like I’m taking ID’s. I sat in this chair the whole time I was here, waiting for Ash to try on some jeans. This place is pretty cool little boutique jeans store. I wasn’t really in the mood to shop, so I just sat there, looked around and listened to the Vampire Weekend record they were pumping at RAVE level in the tiny store. It was kinda strange.
The quality of the jeans looked really good and were quite pricey so they must have been!

Buyer beware. They have a «no return» policy that they only put in fine print on the receipt. Store credit only.
I bought a hat for my partner as a Christmas gift. We went to exchange it for another size, but they didn’t have the right size in stock and new stock would take a month to arrive. Not wanting to wait a month we asked for a refund and were surprised by the cashier’s very rude response.
If I’m buying a baseball cap that costs over $ 45 I’d much rather do it at a store with friendly sales associates and a return policy that doesn’t make you feel like you’ve been taken advantage of.

I am so happy that Baldwin has it’s own space on the Plaza, it’s great to have more local shops in the area. Local and original sometimes means things cost a lot more money, and that is definitely true of this store. Things are not cheap here people, but they are extremely well made. The things I have bought of Baldwins in the past are made to be worn, meaning they do not fall apart and age better the more they are used! They have many different cuts and the staff is well versed in getting you in the best fit.
This store carries both men and women’s clothing and accessories. Some shoes, skin care lines and fragrance lines fill up this small space. The store has a clean and simple look and is easy to shop.
The guy working the day I stopped in was stylish, cool, and knowledgeable.
I do have to say that I love the look of the Baldwin store out south much better, not saying that this one is not good looking because it is. I personally prefer the look and aesthetic of the south store much more and feel like every detail was taken care of. I visited the Plaza store soon after they opened and it feels like things weren’t quite done. I feel like the Baldwin brand is all about details and finishing touches, and this space is lacking those two elements. For the price and quality of the product, I want every inch of the space to reflect that too. I’ll keep shopping the store and see if those touches come along the more they settle into their new space. I’m just thrilled and happy that they are in a new space and adding to the landscape of the Plaza.

This is a KC original! It is stylish, modern and well needed on the Plaza. They offer clothing, accessories and gifts for both men and women. The style is sleek, simple lines, tailored everyday casual wear. Much, if not all, is made in the USA. The product is not cheap, but will last a long while. Baldwin seems to making quite a name for itself and is sold throughout the country in many upscale stores, but we are lucky to have them on quite the stylish corner of the Country Club Plaza. It seems like a difficult task for men that want stylish, well made clothing in Kansas City, but Baldwin just made it a much easier to do so. I always hear people saying that they want more local shops on the Plaza, well here you go, go check them out.
