Autobahn Motorwerks

I have had nothing but fantastic service here. They have been honest and friendly every time I’ve gone in. Not that I like taking my car in, but I do not dread it or feel like I’m getting hosed when I have to go get the girl worked on. I can’t recommend them enough! (Even though they’re Jayhawks ha ha)

Went back after speaking to the owner. The owner checked out the out the wiring and how everything was hooked up & he was able to fix the problem with the speakers. We left & were satisfied for about a few minutes, my husband tried to use the side view mirrors and they were no longer working. Called the owner again & he asked us to bring the car back in. We did and he fixed the problem. Husband told him the check engine light was back on, we brought this to his attention when we took the car in for the window. The owner checked the car over & found the problem, gave us an estimate to fix the radiator and offered a discount since we had been in several times. Told him we would think about, I told my husband I’m not going to allow them to work on my car again. Called the dealership for a quote and it was very close to the estimate Motorwerks gave us so we took it to the dealership. I am through with Motowerks.

I’m not glad I had to spend money on my car but it was mostly routine maintenance and I finally got to experience Autobahn Motorwerks. I was a Jeep guy for 11 years. I had wanted something I could carry on a conversation in for a long time and when I settled on a beginner’s BMW, everyone I knew that had a BMW came out of the wood work to say «you know, if you ever need work, I know the place you have to go to». And of course, it was always Autobahn Motorwerks. They were so clearly the hands down favorite of everyone, that eventually when I heard the start of the sentence, I’d say «I know, I know — Autobahn Motorwerks.»
I knew owning a BMW would be expensive, I’d already paid over $ 100 for an oil change, so when another one and routine maintenance was necessary, I expected to pay around $ 300-​$ 400. $ 344 was the total, they did all the maintenance that was due, ran some diagnostics on an error code I got a month or so ago and talked through a few of the possibilities with me. So while we wait for whatever was wrong to rear it’s ugly head, the guys at Autobahn Motorwerks are already troubleshooting solutions.
I know the equipment and training to work on these cars are pricey and BMWs are all they do — just like a dealer. While it’s still not cheap to service a BMW, I know it’s a lot more reasonable to have the guys at Autobahn Motorwerks do it. And while I’ve only been there once, my impression is a really good one and every single person I have ever had a conversation with about maintaining a BMW in KC has referred me here.

Kenny took great care of us. I would absolutely recommend autobahn and return for maintenance. I will never go back to the dealer!

Twice I have had the misfortune of taking my car to the shop (in a sort time) and both time I went to these guys. I can say that my previous experiences with other shops that did not specialize in BMW’s was poor, but not so the case here. Autobahn does nothing but BMW (and Mini) with the top level care and expertise you would expect. They have become my new permanent car doctor.
