Atlas Cab Company

Horrible! As many people have stated they are thieves. My phone was left in cab 0523. I called several times. He eventually answered, told me I had the wrong number. When I stated I had called his boss, and was just checking to see if my phone was in the cab, he immediately was rude, told me it wasn’t there, and hung up. Obviously not the wrong number, and obviously he looked to see if my phone was in his car! Don’t do it! Don’t ride with these people. This is why UBER is making business hard for you.

We were trying to get a cab from Columbus park to Bartle hall. We called 2 different cab companies before this one. One cab company couldn’t find the address and called us 3 different times lost. The other was yelling at us for no reason and we hung up. We called this one and he said be there in 5 min. He took us there and picked us up. Great company.

Horrible Experience! I would not recommend this company. We went from Rivermarket to Roeland Park Kansas which is 7.8 miles on a Saturday Night. The total taxi cab should have been a max of 20 dollars not including a tip. I gave the cab driver my debit card to use, and they charged 40 dollars to my card. Must have thought that they deserved a better tip. I have contacted them 3 times now to get this corrected and they have told me to call back «later». If you want someone to steal from you, go with this cab company.

No, Atlas wasn’t on time — not even close — but they did answer our phone call and eventually picked us up.
I do have to give THUMBS up, way up, to our driver, He drove like a city driver not a scared suburban driver. He weaved in and out of traffic and sped up when needed. It was about time!!! I have been in other cabs that have taken twice as long and cost twice as much.
My recommendation is to call way ahead if it’s a busy night. Otherwise, plan to wait. Regardless you will get an answer when calling to schedule a pick up and you will get to your destination quickly.

Atlas is quick to respond — I use them fairly frequently and only once has it taken more than ten minutes to get a cab. The average response time I’ve experienced is about 5 minutes.
The drivers are courteous and friendly. The owner can be a little gruff if you happen to end up in his cab, but in a way that’s entertaining as he hurls insults at other drivers who get in his way. They’re also fair, a driver recently knocked a couple bucks off my fare after he missed a turn resulting in a drive a block longer than it should have been — and I hadn’t even asked him to do that for me.
Whether I need them to drive my too-​drunk-​to-​walk ass a mere mile back home or whether I’m sending my brother back to his home in Overland Park at 3am, Atlas is who I always call because I know they’ll be there quickly and treat me fairly.
