I have 2003 chevy tahoe and I had to get driver side mirror replace. He said it cost me more than $ 500. But I realized that the part only costed $ 130 at the most and labor fee is 90. It does not take more than one hour to replace the mirror. Not only that, I returned to get some freon after 1 hour. I see there were absolutely no work he was doing. But he told me to make an appointment. This is first auto repair experience in hawaii. Not very good.

Henry and staff run a great auto repair shop. Sit at his shop for an hour and you’ll find a bunch of folks who feel the same way as I do. I once asked Henry how come his hourly rate was about the same as other shops, but the job itself would come out cheaper. He said most shops charge you by the book, so if the book says you can charge X amount of hours for a job (like changing the timing belt), then they’ll charge you the X amount even if they didn’t work on it that long. He only charges for the time that is spent working on you car. My friend was told it would cost him about $ 700 to change his brakes on a Civic at the Honda dealership. He spent less then half the amount at Henry’s shop. If you’re looking for an auto shop that you can trust, you should stop by Windward Service and Repair (I think that’s the real name of Henry’s shop) and talk to them. Old school honesty is always a plus in my book.

Henry runs an honest, efficient shop. I have used him for about 10 years. Always does good work.
