Sunshine’s Cake Creations

I’m not sure if this bakery is still in business. If they are, they seem to only want wedding cake orders, not other cake orders. I contacted this bakery twice using the online inquiry form to place a birthday cake order. I never got an answer. So I called the listed number numerous times at different times of the day: no answer and no machine to leave a message.
I wrote a poor review on Unilocal asking if they were still in business. And they wrote me immediately apologizing for the lack of response and asking how they could help. I told them what I wanted (a birthday cake for 8 people) and I have never heard from them again. 3 emails and nothing.
When you are ordering a cake in Kailua, the bakeries seem to only want to hear that you need a $ 2000 wedding cake. No one seem interested in a simpler birthday cake. Would have been nice to have the courtesy of even being declined rather than ignored.

Our experience with Vikki was great! We met for out initial meeting and had samples of different flavors we were interested in. They were all really well done. We decided on banana chocolate chip, strawberry shortcake and chocolate Kona coffee as our flavors for our three tiered wedding cake. My wife wanted the cake to be designed after her dress and Vicki did a very good job with just pictures of it through email. The cake did look smaller than we expected but it still fed everyone and them some I heard.
We also order a half dozen different pastries from here for the wedding and they were a hit. I only wish I had hit up the dessert table during the wedding but I was so distracted with other things. The only cake I had was from the cutting too. It never even dawned on me get some. Haha. I would definitely order another cake from Vikki for a special occasion. We will be getting our top tier redone for our one year anniversary for sure.

What a pleasant experience. I wanted some cupcakes for my graduation celebration, but one of the celebrants is Gluten Free! What a to do?
Call the cheery Sunshine’s Cake Professionals. They catered a Unilocal!event, and I fell in love with their pineapple cilantro flavor. After some chat about my needs, we agreed on three dozen cupcakes for our party, two regular (cupcakes were about $ 2.75 each) and one GF (about $ 3 each, and I paid a little extra for some adorable edible caps and gowns). Every single interaction with their friendly staff was a complete pleasure, and she was patient with me as I waivered between cakes and cupcakes or just cake or… writing my dissertation took away my decision making skills.
They delivered the cupcakes promptly on the day of the party, and though I was not there to pick up, my partner (who is kinda grumpy) raved about the service level. We went with «fun» cupcake options: pineapple cilantro (a HUGE HIT, and still my favorite) and chocolate chipolte (if you love these flavors these are amazing, but they are not for everyone) and the GF were strawberry guava. The GF cupcakes were so amazing that we had to fend people off of them, because they couldn’t tell tell were GF.
Even my cupcake snobby friends were impressed.
Would recommend for any event where you need any kind of cakery, special diet or not!
It is incredibly useful though, to note that they have an array of not only GF, but also vegan options! So if you’re of those persuasions, or you have friends, relatives, or lovers who are, they have the added bonus of giving you options to meet their needs while still giving them an awesome cake experience.

I contacted Sunshine’s Cake Creations 2 years ago to make my wedding cake. I am not an ordinary girl and I wasn’t having an ordinary wedding. I was having a PIRATE wedding and I was having a hard time finding a bakery that would make me a tiered black pirate cake with skeletons on it.
Sunshine’s Cake Creations saved the day AND made the most awesome cake I’ve ever seen in my life. Ever since then, they’ve been making my cakes for every occasion imaginable. Butterfly, Emily the Strange, Disney Cars, Coach purses, Thor, and even a Millennium Class Starship for my husband’s Star Trek birthday party! Can we say t-​a-​l-​e-​n-​t?!

Chris and I shared a cookie yesterday that was delivered in a box. It was shaped like a high heel with white frosting all over it.
At first, I thought it was from Hokulani in Restaurant Row, until I saw all of the business cards in the box. No physical address on the business card, just a name, email address, and phone number.

Sunshine‘s Cake Creations staff are exemplary professionals and create Le Cordon Bleu quality cakes, cookies, etc.
We have received hundreds of their over sized cookies for a weekly event we produce named
and we have attendees who actually come in looking for these cookies as a reason they came!
The Birthday Cake they created for us was beyond imagination. I can not embellish past how delicious it was!
