This is my favorite salon, by far! Keratin treatments, color, cut, updo, styling for the «big date!» They do it all — Janett is my stylist and she’s the best, but when she isn’t able to fit me in, she recommends her co– workers and they take care of me just as well! I highly recommend this salon!

Love this salon. Girls are so kind and helpful they all work well together and help each other with problem solving. Pam is the bomb and mylan is great with updos. Theres a. New girl who is very sweet and extra good at fades!!! Her name is Evette!!!

Asked if a recommendation could be made for someone who is knowledgeable about Polynesian coarse hair types. Unfortunately, it was not a good fit and was very disappointed. However, the crew at the salon is very nice and professional.

Friendly staff and great price $ 35. I had Pam and she was very pleasant and really listened to my requests.

This place is a hidden gem! Jeannette is AMAZING!

Upon walking in Jeannette was already waiting for me, and I was early. She was pleasant gave me a hug and already made me feel as though i’d been coming here for years. The décor in the place looks like an old school hair salon that never got revamped, but this places talent doesn’t need any fancy stuff, THEY are what you come here for, not the décor! You can tell each hairdresser had their own regulars in their chairs and it was a comforting feeling.
Jeannette and I briefly spoke about what I wanted and a couple hours later I emerged like a pretty little butterfly out of a cocoon! She knew exactly what I want and she delivered! I WILL BE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE! Love everything and everyone at this salon and would highly recommend going here!

My first visit was an emergency situation in which my regular stlyist located in HNL was unavailable for our shceduled time. Yikes, things happen, so understandable for sure. Yikes part is: I was scheduled to be on travel for two weeks in a couple of days and my head waqs a hot mess. I frantically searched Unilocal for another salon but located in my neighborhood simply to save time and hope for the best possible outcome. When I called Shear Edge they were soooooo pleasant and just lovely people to talk to. After explaining my urgent situation I was able to snag an appointment with Michelle for the next day. Yay! She totally rocks. Though she had never touched my hair prior, she was able to cut and color my hair as good if not better than my usual gal in HNL.
I am a fan for life and will continue to see Michelle. Thanks Michelle and to everyone at Shear Edge. Thanks for helping a chick with an emergency and going way above and beyond to get me in and make me fabulous for travel. And Dudes, there are always guys too in the salon when I go. So don’t let my chick talk sway you. it’s not exclusively female.
Their product pricing is very reasonable too if you are looking for name brand stuff.

I used to be a regular at Shear Edge when I was in high school and I’ve always been happy with the service and the cut. I’ve been to a few of the hair stylists there and I’ve always been happy. My first choice is always Pam, but all of the ladies there are very good and give great service. I really like that Pam pays attention to detail but is still pretty quick and she’s always so nice!
After a few years of just doing my own hair (buzz cut), I made an appointment with Pam and like always, I was very happy with the whole experience, she even gave me free can of hair product! Great place!

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Kaneohe about 5 years ago. Pam is wonderful and has a lot of stories to tell which passes the time FAST! She even cuts my son’s hair… since he was 1, and he LOVES her and getting his hair cut by her. She’s very patient with him and his mom! This is a very neighborhood type salon where everyone knows everyone, like a big happy family! All of the stylists are very nice! Pam always does a great job on me too with coloring and haircuts, her head massages make me fall asleep!

I’ve been coming here since I was little and always enjoy getting my hair cut here. All my major hair changes have been done here: highlights, color, or chopping off all my hair. I don’t trust anybody else to cut my hair. I’m not always sure what my hair will end up like (I just say ‘okay’), but they know what looks good and they make it look awesome. Solid place. Everbody has regular clients that come in all the time, so if you can get an appointment take it.
