Koolau Massage

The full body hot stone and face lift massage I had at Koolau Massage were wonderful! My therapists were attentive and accomodating. I have had many massages and was completely impressed with the quality of the treatments at this massage clinic. I will definitely be back!

Had a terrible experience with Koolau Massage. My husband bought me a 1 year membership here though we had never tried the place. I tried to set up my first massage (the one included in the membership price). I called multiple times and left my name and number. Nobody called me back. I tried emailing with my number as well. Nobody called. Finally my husband went in person — the office apparently has no front staff/​receptionist so he was waiting a long time before somebody talked to him — and he got a different business card of someone I was supposed to call for the appointment. So finally I got a call back — they said they’d «tried» to call before but I didn’t have any record of missed calls or voicemails.
When I show up, the office appeared really disorganized. I waited by myself on a couch, there is nobody in the front. The girl who did my massage had just shown up a couple seconds before me and was dressed really casually. She didn’t really introduce herself properly. I wasn’t sure but I think she was probably a massage student as she seemed really hesitant about everything and did not put me at ease at all. She was very strong though. I had to say multiple times that the pressure was too strong. It was supposed to be a relaxing swedish massage but she kept doing very specific targeted pressure on deep muscles and telling me it was «cool» that I had the biggest knot in my muscle she’d ever seen and she was working on getting it out. the massage was the opposite of the relaxing one i’d wanted.
Even though I have the membership to get the discounted massages for a year, I do not want to come back and get a massage from this person ever again. the whole process of scheduling a massage was so frustrating as well that i’d rather spend more at another masseuse.

I had my very first hot stone massage here by Kyra V. The experience was great, and Kyra was personable and professional. I appreciated how easy it was to make an appointment and how Olivia was so organized that I received text messages confirming and reminding me of the appointment. Even the patient paperwork part of the process was easy, much more streamlined then other massage therapists. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again.
Ko’olau Massage is located in the heart of Kane’ohe in the Kane’ohe Atrium building at the corner of Kahuhipa and Kawa Streets. Free on-​site parking on either side of the building. Take the elevator to the third floor, and walk around to the opposite side of the atrium to suite 306. They also have a massage club program offering discounted services for an annual fee. They do therapeutic and relaxation massage and accept patients from no-​fault accident claims and workers compensation injuries.

Best massage I have ever had! Olivia was super kind and accomodating for my wife and I to get tandem massages. She was super personable, friendly, and was very very good at her craft.
I’m studying to become an athletic trainer, so the practice of massage/​therapeutic myofascial release is of great interest to me, and I pried Olivia’s brain for information– and she was more than happy to talk to me about the topic. It was like getting a lesson on massage principles while getting a massage– super cool!

ps — their location is in a multiple story square building with a courtyard in the middle. It’s not a stand alone place.

Great place to get a massage at good value. I’m always a little wary to try an independently-​owned, smaller massage studio because you have to roll the dice on cleanliness, professionalism, atmosphere, etc. No worries at all here. It’s clean, relaxing, and my therapist, Beth, was awesome. Besides getting a great massage, she really helped with concise and helpful tips on how to stretch and release shoulder tension on my own.
Come here – you definitely won’t be disappointed.

Got a hot stone massage today and it was amazing. All my pains and stress were transferred outta my body into the hot stone, and Beth made me feel relaxed and rejuvenated! Hot stone is a plus and I highly recommend to try it now.
