Specialties
The Jacaranda Inn offers restful, romantic accommodations at an historic ranch estate on Hawaii’s Big Island. Eight suites are housed in former Parker Ranch buildings. Modest plantation style exteriors belie sumptuous interiors. Each suite has a lanai, a comfortable sitting area and a tiled grand bathroom with jacuzzi tub & separate shower. Along with a three bedroom streamside home, the Jacaranda can accommodate up to 22 guests on a dozen acres. The main house was built in 1897 for the ranch manager and later owned by Laurance Rockefeller who entertained Jacqueline Kennedy & Henry Kissinger here.
The estate is well located in the town of Waimea, also known as Kamuela. Waimea is the island’s dining destination and is found at an intersection of rural highways that sport vistas as varied as they are beautiful. While the Inn rests at an elevation of 2500 feet (762 meters) above sea level, it is only a 15 to 20 minute drive to the island’s finest beaches and golf courses.
