History

Established in 1981.

We started in business here in Kalkaska in 1981. For many years we were known as the best Import service for many miles around. We continue that expertise in imported cars and light trucks, as well as domestic vehicles. In April 1997 we added to our service offerings by adding Midas Auto Service franchisee. This added many features to our company that helped enhanced our value to our customers. As the automotive service industry changed so did our focus at Midas. Midas is now known nationwide for complete auto services, rather than only brakes and mufflers. We now have a total of 10 service bays that can handle a large variety of vehicle types. We can service vehicle’s from passenger cars, to light trucks (gas and diesel), to RVs, to medium and heavy duty trucks, and even buses. Our Pennzoil Tire and Lube express offers another example of our commitment to customer convenience.

Business Owner

My name is Randy Lucyk and along with my wife Cathy and two son’s Brent and Eric started this business in 1981. I currently have duties including technician and technical consultant; my secondary duties are everything else that needs to be done. The best thing we have done is pull together a top group of individuals into a team to make your life easier. Very few enjoy having to deal with maintaining and servicing our automobiles, yet having safe dependable transportation it is a crucial part of our daily lives. We hope to make that duty less burdensome by providing automotive service with the highest level of honesty and integrity that can be provided. If we have served you well, I would appreciate hearing about it, if not, I absolutely want to hear about it.
