It’s easy. Very easy for me… since I live 2 doors down. Atmosphere is relaxing and romantic(great date spot). Music is easy alternative. Wine selections are solid and food is great. If I am alone, I typically order a flatbread to go. Tonight I ordered the grilled chicken flatbread. The pleasant bartender delivered my to go order, i finished my wine and headed home. The flatbread was still crispy and delicious after almost an hour.

Great place to go for dressy kinda casual happy hour/dinner. Good wine and great service. Atmosphere is hip and cool, so great for date spot. Their Tapas style appetizers are very big portioned and delicious. Love their goat cheese platter and baked Brie.

«Like, OMGmyBFF Wine Loft!» This joint is pretty much the most perfect place you could ever go for a very girly ladies night. Their signature cocktails are really sweet, the service is really sweet, even their ladies room smells super sweet, and of course, wine for days. It just isn’t quite my cup of whiskey. Still, they’ve got enough swagger to hold their own on as a fairly rounded establishment with a little something for everyone. A full bar menu inlcuding craft beer and liquor, tasty food, and a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoy the upstairs lounge furniture. You can pull a curtain across the balcony giving you a sound barrier and a little extra privacy for a work meeting or social event.

It’s a great spot to have a girls night out or a meeting spot for large parties. The atmosphere definitely feels swanky, kind of like a transplant Chicagoan wannabe. The wine selection is good, and their prices reflect the ‘trendy’ vibe but isn’t outrageous by any means. The food is good and I enjoy their cheese boards. Every time I’ve been here has been with a large group of friends and we all have a great time here. It is nice to sit outside on their patio during hot summer nights while enjoying a glass(or bottle) of wine. Be forewarned though, if you’re hosting a birthday party or any party that involves bringing in your own cake, they do charge a ridiculous cake cutting fee and give a bogus reasoning as to why. I get it, you charge a cake cutting fee and you’re not the first nor the last of restaurants to do this.

We stopped here after eating at The Union down the street to have a few drinks a while back. It was so refreshing for Stephen to order an Old Fashioned and not be asked what it is. «Finally,» he said with a smile as he sipped on his bourbon. Chloe tried something very similar to a Blood Orange Martini per the bartender’s recommendation, but ended up resorting to her go-to Manhattan instead. Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed when we stopped in so we weren’t able to sample any of the food — but it was evident that the bartender was knowledgeable and experienced.

Posh. Trendy. Eclectic. The Wine Loft emits a big city vibe, yet it also provides tranquility and a serene ambience in which to unwind after a long day at work. Came here with my friend and her sister on a weeknight for Happy Hour. Rather than sit at the bar or at a «regular» table, we chose their comfy sofa seating /coffee table instead. Cozy. Personable service, too … Waitress pulled up a cushiony stool and sat with us as she relayed the specials, answered our questions, and gave us her recommendations. For Happy Hour, wine by the glass was 25% off, while cocktails were $ 5 — $ 6(about 40% off.) My friend and I both ordered a Pomegranate Cranberry Shrub Cosmopolitan … it was our very first«shrub» cocktail ever, and mighty tasty, I might add!(FYI: «Shrubs» are vinegar-based syrups infused with fruits, herbs and spices. Vinegar used as a drink mixer is part of a timely trend in cocktails. Shrub cocktails began popping up in hotspots such as NYC, San Francisco, and Miami Beach just a couple years ago. So, now we can add The Wine Loft in Kalamazoo to the list of trendy hotspots!) My friend’s sister had ordered a red wine … wish I had paid attention to which one exactly, because, when I took a sip, it was just perfect for my taste. We also ordered a couple tapas … One was«Breads & Spreads» — Spanish olive tapenade, roasted garlic purée, caramelized leek jam, artisan breads $ 8 … The other was«Spanish Bombs» — dry-cured chorizo, Cana da Cabra, Olive Manchego, stuffed piquillos, Navarro Artichokes $ 18. Both yummy, although the artisan bread was rather bland and dry, perhaps as a result of being toasted. Despite our waitress making a mistake on our bill(she charged us full price on our cocktails rather than the Happy Hour special price of $ 6 each), I would still rate the service as «Far Better than Average.» Apparently, our waitress was fairly new there, and she was very apologetic about the mistake. Other than that, she was super upbeat and friendly. I am not going to deduct stars because of an innocent mistake. All in all, I was very impressed with all facets of The Wine Loft. This would be a fabulous place for a date. Great ambience! … The lighting was just perfect! As I’ve always said, it’s all about the lighting; the lighting can make you or break you. I wish more establishments would pay more attention to their lighting. Lastly, I would like to mention that Jason(the manager) is an incredible asset to The Wine Loft … remarkably professional, knowledgeable, and cordial. He even shared his drink recipe with me when I phoned this business a couple weeks after our initial visit. FIVESTARS!

Good to Great wine selection in a cool space, with a very good menu. The selections of wine by the glass(and bottle) are varied and the choices/selections go beyond«the usual suspects» that you find in most by the glass selections. The food is very good, with a nice selection of small plates, flatbreads, appetizers, and a few entrees. This is a cool space that is definitely focused on creating a comfortable place to enjoy food and drink. If you are not a wine drinker, the full bar and the tap/beer selection is very solid, and gives great optons. Having been to the wine loft on many occasions, I can attest to the fact that the service matches the level of food/drink – very good. A great choice to have in downtown Kalamazoo.

Pretty cool place, my gf Melissa and I were up there on a road trip for work from Detroit metro area. Nice décor, ambience was chill, classy but comfortable. Great selection and the old world cheese/snack platter was mighty tasty and presentation was on point. The Bartenders could have had a little more spunk/pazazz but our main girl that took care of us was very helpful knew her menu and had a good attitude/personality. I will be back there when in town again.

Love the atmosphere, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great wine selection and lots of deals depending on what day you go. Not the biggest fan of the food. It’s not bad just underwhelming.

This place is just fantastic, from the moment you walk in the ambience engulfs you. I am a single college student interested in good drinks and delicious food. I came here with the intentions of just having a drink and maybe a small plate and going else where to have dinner. When walking in, you are greeted by a welcoming swanky chill atmosphere the is very calming. The lights are dimmed just perfect and there is plenty of comfortable looking areas to nest in. I of course sat at the bar greeted by a extremely nice, well educated, very enthused, and well one of the nicest bartendersI have ever had the pleasure to be served by, her name was Caitlin. She is very good at her job and can answer any question you might have, she has a California flare to her, since she is from there. I ordered a vodka cranberry with lime juice. They were out of lime juice so she offered to muddle a lime for me! The place is just outstanding. Great place to get a drink or enjoy a special evening. * Have the bruschetta its to die for * The goat cheese is fantastic * Flatbreads

This has been my biggest let down in Kalamazoo yet. Kitchen lacks ability to time meal prep. My vegetarian meal had a visible film on it from sitting under the heat lights while waiting for dining partner’s meat option to finish cooking. My food looked so bad when it came out, that I’m surprised the waitstaff even bothered bringing it out. Not sure what it would taste like when it’s warm since my meal was served lukewarm(at best). Told waitress about the plate of food sitting out and being lukewarm but nothing ever happened to remedy the situation. Cheesecake was absolutely disgusting. I didn’t even realize bad cheesecake was a thing. If I were the wine loft, I would complain to SAMs club about the quality. Pricing is equivalent to a moderate location in chicago(which is great), but the caveat is, the wine loft food quality is poor and the service is a miss.

If you are looking for the feeling of a night out in a big city, there is no better place in Kalamazoo than The Wine Loft! The upscale décor will have you thinking that you just walked into a swanky NYC bar. There are your standard tables and chairs but also plenty of couches, hidden nooks and crannies and the titular loft. Whether looking for a fancy dinner or a late night drink with friends, you will find a comfortable spot here. Marvel at the extensive wine list or order a drink from the fully stocked bar. The menu features small plates and full meals. I checked out the Restaurant Week menu this past week and the food was delicious.

My family recently took over The Wine Loft for my sisters wedding in October. I’m sure my parents would have a more intimate and profound comment about the service, but I’ll give my take on it. The service was: Top. Notch. Jason, our venue host was amazing. Incredibly helpful and had a terrific attitude. His staff that night was also awesome — I hear they had a fun time as well serving my family(they know how to have a fun time). The food? Well I ate all of mine and most of my date’s as well. So flavorful and well presented for a place that is considered to be known for primarily serving wine. I did not hear one complaint about the appetizers and entrées. Only good things. I live and work in Kalamazoo and have often come to The Wine Loft with friends. I was so glad I could give my input on reception location when decisions were being made by my sister and her now husband. I know I will be back. This is an amazing place for a good drink, cool atmosphere, and fun time.

We like it when it is available but it is frequently reserved for private events with minimal seating available for the public. We have been dissapointed once to often to even try again.

I don’t know if I visited The Wine Loft on an exceptionally special day, or if they’ve just always got great deals, but I was impressed. After the longest day at work(and by longest, I mean 6AM till 8PM), a couple of friends and I decided to not let work bog us down and ruin our social lives, and headed to the Wine Loft for a drink. I’d never been to the Wine Loft before and I was excited at the prospect of visiting a classy restaurant/bar, reminiscent of the majority of my evenings for the last two years in New York. But at the same time, I was incredibly tired and I needed the Wine Loft to be the right amount of amazing to lift my spirits. I wasn’t disappointed! It was a Tuesday and we got there around 8.30, and BOTTLESOFWINEWEREHALFOFF! At 9PM, I was in heaven because I discovered that the FLATBREADSWEREHALFOFF! I’m sorry about all the uppercake(yes, cake) letters, but really, getting wine and flatbreads for half off is something to be super excited about! Pros: + Half off bottles of wine on Tuesdays + Half off flatbreads after 9PM + Great selection of wines! + The wild mushroom and truffle oil flatbread was amazing! + Great location and atmosphere + Super friendly service Cons: — Perhaps a little too laid back in terms of service because it took over 35 minutes for the cheque to arrive and be settled. Bottom line: Treat yourself this coming Tuesday because you deserve it!

Finally a place to drink wine in Kzoo! They have lots of offerings and I like the lounge set-up although you can also dine there. It’s a change to all the pubs around.

Super cute place and really different for down town Kzoo. You can dress up to come here, or play it casual. I do recall that our server was super young and knew very little about wine. If I were a wine snob, this would probably be important. We ordered the dessert«flight» which was a very pretty plate of fancy truffles that we had fun eating. We sat upstairs where it’s more loungy and comfy. This would be a great location for a birthday party.

I have never left disappointed at The Wine Loft. Great food(kind of pricey, but worth it). The service is phenomenal, they always make our dinners/girls night out more fun. My mother and aunts love this place and we always come here when they are in town. Great memories and great location.
