Specialties
Caffè Casa located downtown on the Kalamazoo Mall offers gourmet coffee and tea, espresso drinks, fresh baked pastries, cookies and bagels.
Stop in for lunch and savor hearty homemade soups, sandwiches and wraps, vegetarian offerings, spinach salads and locally grown seasonal greens, all prepared with the finest ingredients and served in a creative atmosphere.
All of the coffee and tea at Caffè Casa is brewed with purified water. Daily specials and gluten-free baked goods. Free Wi-Fi for your surfing pleasure.
Your hosts are John and Kathy Beebe, proprietors of Caffè Casa since 1992. Their shop is laid-back, cozy and fun. Works by local artists adorn the walls. John tends to the espresso machine and a profusion of plants. Kathy is always dappled with flour and chocolate while concocting new recipes and preparing classic favorites.
Kathy’s baked-goods repertoire includes filled and plain croissants, muffins, chocolate chip cookies and bars, brownies, turtles, no-bake cookies, cheesecake, and speciality pies and cakes.
She will be happy to collaborate on whatever you dream up – think decadently triple-chocolate cake or chocolate praline cake for your next special celebration.
Kathy even carries her passion for cooking over to creating uniquely flavored drinks. Caffè Casa is the only place in town you can get a bacon-flavored mocha, or a breakfast latte laced with hints of bacon and waffles, as featured in the Kalamazoo Gazette.
History
Established in 1992.
John and Kathy Beebe have been proprietors of Caffe Casa for more than two decades.
We support local artists and are big boosters of downtown Kalamazoo.
We offer a fair trade organic coffee everyday (it’s our dark roast), and we use only reverse-osmosis purified water in all coffee and tea. We have always recycled all business waste possible and compost our coffee grounds and kitchen waste. We like being green!
