Picking a nursing facility is tricky, especially if your loved one has brain diseases that cause them to have issues remembering things or just plain turn cranky, and our family is familiar with a number of facilities in the area that turned out to be not so spectacular. Borgess, even when they were in the«old building», has always been staffed with kind, compassionate, caring people. I’ve spent countless hours in the Cottages visiting and even the most difficult patients receive the most creatively understanding attention. Each patient is treated like a family member and the staff attends to each and every person and their individual needs no matter how quirky they may be. Visitors are greeted and welcomed and made to feel like true assets instead of intrusions. The staff at the Cottages and Borgess Gardens were a second family for our family member and made her feel loved and secure and that, to us, was priceless.
