Bob & Kay’s Auto Wash

This is by far the best car wash I’ve ever been to. It’s fast and does a great job. The blowers at the end are cool and do a great job. I got the $ 13 a month plan and go twice a week. It pays for itself and I get a lot of compliments on my car. The free vacuums are powerful and plentiful too. I would highly recommend this place.

It’s funny how something like $.05 difference in a gas price will lure in so many people. Bob and Kay’s seems to be the last place on the West side of town to raise prices, so many people see the prices going up and head on over there to fill up. Inside you will find many of the things every other station has, except for the massive, attached, carwash, which will get your car clean and tidy… a one stop shop for vehicle cleanliness and a great gas price. If you are really eager to keep your car clean, you can buy a monthly pass and go as many times as you wish that month. I like the convenience and location.

Here’s an update. After many visits and emails Bob & Kay’s did pay for the damage done to our car. The Body Shop requested that we did not use automatic car washes any more. What a shame! They are so convenient! 11÷23÷15
We recently purchased a new vehicle and when we went through the car wash it damaged the entire right side of the car looking as though someone had keyed it. We drove it straight home after the wash where my husband noticed that the car had sustained major damage. We are very careful with our cars, where we park them, examining them, etc. We drove the car back to Bob & Kay’s and the guy took a picture of the car and expressed his dismay. After that we went to a body shop where we got an estimate of $ 1,600 to repaint the vehicle. We have sent emails, dropped off the estimate, tried to talk to the owner of several occasions and there is no response. Since it has been three weeks and they refuse to respond it is clear that they have no intention to take responsibility for what their car wash did to our car.
The body shop that they get people from this car wash «all the time». Needless to say, we will not be using this car wash again and I would advise you to do the same!

This would have gotten five stars, had it not been for the fact that even the FastPass Ultimate (top of the line) doesn’t include tire shine. One would expect the whole nine yards with the ultimate but that isn’t the case here. It cleans the tires, don’t get me wrong here but it doesn’t have the added perk of a shine. The experience is seamless and if you want, you can get ³⁰⁄₃₁ car washes in a month, one every day. Their competitors don’t offer the same value (i.e. one car wash a day for the whole month) but offer tire shine within the same price range.
Although it make business sense to ask for a $ 5 setup fee, it could turn some people off who haven’t paid such fees at their competitors. The management may want to consider this point. The upside to this charge of course is that you can get a car wash any time without having the need to wait for human-​help. This is especially helpful during peak hours or the late hours of the night. It makes the whole process, after signup, automatic.
While getting the car washed, it definitely gives a sense of a powerful wash but for some reason, it couldn’t get bugs off my 2010 model car effectively. I got the car washed a whole month and had the same complaint until we sprayed some bugs removing spray and then we saw improvement. To be fair, I didn’t get my car washed through the winter so the bugs were stuck on pretty good from the past fall.
Overall, Bob & Kay’s gives you the best value regardless of which option (Regular, Classic or Ultimate) you opt-​in for — their competitors don’t offer everyday washes. If this auto wash is your first experiment, then you will absolutely love it as you don’t have any other service (s) to compare this to but if you have had tried other services elsewhere, offered by its competitors, then you may compare like I did.
