I had the same awesome service as Danny A. ! It isn’t often that a business goes«above and beyond» when they don’t get your business. AAA Service!

I called this place asking if they cut a certain key. unfortunately they didn’t, but instead off just saying no and hanging up, they asked where I lived and gave me another locksmith to try in Kalihi, and then began to give me 2 other locksmiths who also specialize in cutting this type of key if I couldn’t reach the first one. the lady also gave me the phone numbers for all three shops along with their addresses… truly a professional @ their trade and 100% class… thank you for looking out for the local customer, even if you didn’t profit from it… good things will come around… Mahalo’s Windward Lock and Key Service!!!

Ellen of Windward Lock and Key really knows what she is doing. After having her help me with my keys a few times, and especially with a transponder key that had only one copy(a really high tech pain to program the car to accept new transponder keys) I am absolutely confident in her skills. Her prices are reasonable, but she is so much better and more reliable than a hardware store, it is not even a fair comparison. I had a problem with another key to my second car — it had been cut several times at hardware stores, but not one of the various keys would work. She figured out the settings on the key and made a new key to factory settings(I guess that is what you call it), that resulted in a key that is actually a better/crisper/more precise key than my original. She taught me to keep an «original» key that you do not use, but keep to have duplicates made from, and she told me several money-saving shortcuts along the way — keeping 2 spares(minumum) of transponder keys so you don’t have to have a special computer programming session with your car to replace a transponder key, Having key formulas written down to help locksmiths easily make new copies without having to have the actual lock there, etc… She is a really amazing professional, and after going here, I will go no where else! Finding her actual shop is a challenge. Uluniu Street is easy to find, but the shop is located INSIDETHEGARAGE of a blue building. Very small and hard to find, but if you get lost, call her. Also, call before going there if you are having work done in the shop, sometimes she is out on on-site calls. It helps to call right before you leave to make sure she is in the shop. I would trust her to do a quality job on any sort of lock or key oriented task. If she does not have the specialized equipment, she knows who does, and she provides quality referals. I can give no better compliment than to say I trust her implicitly with all my key/lock tasks!
