My Bride and I came in the DAY OF our intimate wedding… a bit last minute, we know. Sadie was fantastic. She worked with us, giving great suggestions and making us feel at ease. We had the perfect bouquet, lovely (and VERY reasonable) leis, and lovely flowers. Sadie is the best!

I needed to buy a Lei and had never bought one before. This store came recommended by our rental house owner. I learned about leis for men and how they aren’t supposed to be too floral. There was quite a selection and I was pleased with the one I purchased.

I ordered a birthday lei & balloons to be delivered to my granddaughters high school in Kailua. The lady who took my order was very helpful. I asked if they could txt me a pic of the lei & balloons before delivery & they obliged no problem. The lei & balloons were beautiful & my granddaughter loved them. Thank you! I will definitely use again & recommend.

This is the third or fourth time I’ve used The Picket Fence Florist. I find their service fast (I was on the phone 3 – 4 min. tops), and friendly (thanks Kathy) with fresh long lasting flowers. They probably don’t appreciate my waiting until the last minute to order flowers for delivery, especially the day before Valentine’s Day, but they came through as usual.

I have walked in yesterday and I was hoping to order several leis and a head piece (haku lei) for our wedding that is only 3 days away. I know, I left it to the last minute… We have a small wedding on the beach and limited budget.
They were extremely helpful, made several calls, pulled a few favors AND today (only one day later), I was able to pick up an exquisite haku and three beautiful leis, very reasonably priced and absolutely breathtaking. I have been to a few weddings, and more often than not, flowers were the «complicated» part. I cannot praise these ladies enough, my experience w this flower-​shop was way above expectations! I highly recommend this place for your flower needs, their service, helpfulness and willingness to go above and beyond! Glad to have supported a local business!

So far, so good :) I just ordered everything for our wedding. Sadie helped us with all that we need to order for the big day. She is very very helpful and so friendly. Her leis are also beautiful! I will update this posting when we get to see the flowers we orderd, I can’t wait!

I just wanted to write about the great customer service I received today at the Picket Fence. I arrived just as the store was closing… I was totally bummed. The owner saw me and decided to reopen — just for me — she sacrificed her own time to allow me to purchase 3 lei, helping me and being super friendly the whole time. We talked about family, Kailua, her 40 years running the business, and the importance of serving the customer — always. Kudos to the Picket Fence and for the great service — it’s a rarity in this day and age. Thanks you and mahalo nui! We need to support small businesses like this!

My husband and I are new to this area and my birthday is coming up. After telling him I wanted flowers for weeks he found this flower shop and ordered an arrangement to be sent to me. I love the fact that he went out of his way to find a local shop and secretly have flowers show up at our door. The flowers were cute, and the arrangement was set up to look like a square gift with a bow around it decorated in flowers (there was a square foam block with the flowers pushed into it, with a bow around it). I ended up seeing the charge before the flowers arrived and was surprised when I got them at how small and few the flowers were for the price (around $ 80). The flowers included were not expensive flowers, purple daises and another small flower that was carnation like, and there was only maybe a handful of each arranged in the foam block. Now, I’m not mad about any of that even though I do believe for the price they could have made a much better arrangement, but like I said I was very happy that my husband had done this for me. So the reason I am leaving such a low star review is because hardly a week after receiving this the flowers are all dead and falling apart, and there was a great deal of mold accumulated all over the foam block. Usually when I receive flowers they will last me a couple of weeks, if not a little longer. I just have a hard time understanding how they could charge so much for so little, and not at least provide flowers fresh enough to last at the very least a full week.

Sadie at the Picket Fence is the cutest, sweetest, most talented florist you will ever meet! She responded to our emails and phone calls promptly, listened to our vision and then exceeded our expectations with her floral creations! Communication was wonderful and the day we went to pick up our flowers, the staff was so friendly and pleasant! We highly recommend The Picket Fence!

Last year I ordered a boutonnière for my daughter’s prom date by phone. When I picked it up, it was the smallest boutonnière holding in the fridge. The woman told me that they ran out of flowers so she hoped it was okay that she used an artificial flower and let me know that she included one pikake flower as well. I thought the use of the artificial flower was tacky, and it looked rather skimpy, but what was I going to do, the prom was that day. I took the boutonnière and just told myself I was never going to order anything from Picket Fence again.
A year later, I thought I should give Picket Fence another try. I asked if I could order a prom wristlet. She asked me for the prom date, which was seven days away. Her answer to me was simply, «I can’t help you.» No explanation at all. I would understand if she said, «I’m sorry, I can’t help you because we are at full orders for that weekend,» but she didn’t. She never gave a reason why she couldn’t help me and did not provide any suggestions. I will never come back to the Picket Fence again and will never recommend them.

I have used this florist several times. A few times I would call ask the hours of operation, the owner would always offer to stay open for me so that I could pick my order or grab a last minute lei. Love them

Picket Fence provided florals for our wedding. Sadie was very helpful in responding to questions by email and phone. She understood exactly what we wanted and provided the most beautiful floral decorations. The store delivered the flowers at the exact time they promised delivery. I was impressed by Picket Fence’s quality, as the florals lasted a very long time.

I placed an online order for a purple roses & assorted purple flowers arrangement to be delivered to my mom for her 60^th birthday. Price was pretty high but I was willing to spend it for my mother and for such a beautiful arrangement. I got a phone call the following morning from Picket Fence letting me know that they did not have the purple roses for this particular arrangement and they were going to substitute it with pink… I was fine with that. When the flowers finally arrived… (at almost 4PM by the way) I was extremely disappointed with the quality AND quantity of the arrangement… the picture of the arrangement online looked NOTHING like the arrangement I received… I spent around $ 70 for flowers I could have gotten at Safeway for $ 10. TOTAL RIP OFF. I would give them 1 star but the lady on the phone was super nice… so 2 stars for you.

Needing leis for our daughter’s graduation last week, we called Picket Fence Florist in Kailua. I was immediately told by the person answering the phone at Picket Fences Florist, «there is an orchid shortage on the island, sorry, I cannot help you.» I then asked if there is anyplace at all we could order the leis from, anywhere, even someplace else on Oahu, and the person stated, «Oh no! if I can’t get the orchids, no one on the island can. Sorry!» Of course, we were panicked, wondering what we were going to do about getting leis ordered for our daughter, having trusted what the proprietor at Picket Fences stated. We decided to drive to Honolulu to check with florists there and noticed Kailua has a new WholeFoods, so we stopped in before driving out of town; we had no trouble at all getting more than a dozen leis ordered– they were beautiful orchids and our daughter received tons of comments. To the proprietor at Picket Fences Florist: its always better to be helpful even if it allows a competitor to have a shot occasionally. Who knows, the next time it could be them recommending you.

My daughter ordered Mother’s Day flowers (via phone from the mainland) to be delivered to me while vacationing here. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful and is lasting well into the 2^nd week. It couldn’t be nicer. I highly recommend Picket Fence!

I have been using Picket Fences for more years then I can remember. They are the best. I send most of my flowers to the mainland and they are always right on. The deliver when they say they will, the flowers arrive beautifully packed. Most of all I love all the ladies that work there. They are helpful and always give great advise. THANK YOU so much for always being on top of it.
