Flower Child Kailua

Flower Child is located in the little cluster of shops near Chad Lou’s. It is at the beginning of Kihapai Street, across from Hardware Hawaii. There is metered parking and a small lot in the back. If using the lot, the driveway is one lane for entering and exiting, so be careful.
If you like boutiques, this is for you! Even if you don’t like boutiques, you should come in and visit. I come to visit every 2 weeks to check out the new inventory. Inventory on clothes in always changing, so that keeps me coming back. There is clothing, shoes, phone cases, little pitches, clutches, candles, lotions, and jewelry. So much! And did I mention that they offer a kamaaina discount?
The service at Flower Child is top notch. Whether it be the owner or one of the sales associates, they always make you feel welcomed. They do not bother you as you look, but are always aware if you need help or suggestions. I like that they carry locally made products, like candles and jewelry. They have clothing in the store that I are trendy and classic. It has something for all tastes.
There is a sales rack near the door, so I usually check it on the way in. There have been some good finds in that rack.
So, if you want great service, cute clothes and accessories, and support local business, come here!

Love the selection at this boutique! Bought the cutest card, phone case, and shirt. For the average joe, it might be a bit spendy but still better than some of the others!

I was very unhappy with my experience here… The lady who I believe is the owner was rude and short with me. I felt like I was bothering her when asking questions … I then tried to return what I bought and was told to come back… The employee told me that I had to come back to speak to the owner about an exchange… I did not have the receipt since it was never given to me… So it was a big production… I just wanted to
buy something in exchange which would have brought more revenue to the store!
I’m not one to complain but isn’t the goal of a store to keep the customer happy? There is no bend with returns or exchanges … And a more flexible policy would be nice… And sorry but I’m not coming back to speak to the owner about a return ! I will never shop here again… I’ll spend my well earned money on a store that appreciates my business and can bend to make the customer happy…

If I had the body, I world work the hell outta these pieces. Unfortunately, I’m a plump hobbit so my dreams of wearing cute floral rompers or lace pineapple print shorts have been thrown out the window. The clothing here are ridiculously cute. My friend and I stopped by after eating at Moke’s and we just really wanted to do Boutique shopping in Kailua. I didn’t find anything for me, but I found really cute things for my mom for Mothers Day. Price was not bad, affordable in my opinion. The girl who was at the register was very friendly and helpful which was nice so it didn’t seem awkward with just the 3 of us in store.

Wow this store is absolutely adorable. It reminds me of the secret garden meets hipster style. This store made me feel like I was back in New York– it can easily fit into a store in soho or williamsburg, Brooklyn. Cute dresses and accessories can be spotted in every section/​corner of the store. I came here on a Saturday morning and surprisingly there were a lot of people browsing around.
The rack right next to the entrance was 40 percent off and there was another rack close to the fitting room that was 20 percent off! Good deals! I walked into olive (which is right next door) and they’re selection is beautiful and cute too, but way more pricey compared to Flower child.
The lady at the register was super sweet. Make sure you check out their return policy before purchasing because it seemed pretty strict, but I guess it makes sense if they’re consistently getting new inventory.
I see summer (simply summer) every month so I will definitely drop by here every now and to check out the monthly sales!

This store is super cute! I am not a boho kind of gal, but dont let the name fool you… their clothes are versatile and trendy without being over the top. Inventory moves super fast! Really cute place, great buyer!

Got the cutest dress here. Affordable prices, not like some other boutiques in the area. They have great gifts as well as swimsuits and jewelry. I love this store and it’s sister store, Gypsea.

If you are into boutiques, this is a must check out in Kailua and they also have a location in Kaimuki. They have lots of cute clothes from local designers as well as accessories and it gives you that island feel.

The owner is really nice and she’s got an extensive selection of cute island inspired trendy clothes. I’d say this is for gals in their 20’s and 30’s. I liked the jewelry selection and there are cute knick knacks for gifts.

Cute little boutique hidden in Kailua on Kihapai St. Parking is meter street parking, which I haven’t had any problems finding.
The styles is kinda beachy, Bohemian, shabby chic… The accessories are simple, relaxed feel. It’s not a cheap place to shop, there’s a few moderate priced items. Sales girl was friendly. Love the décor and atmosphere.

Love this boutique. I usually find at least 3 pieces every time I go there, and they also have items for most budgets… recently I bought a cute dress for $ 27, and I get compliments on it all the time. The best thing for me is that its convenient, right in Kailua… anytime I can avoid driving over the Pali, its a good thing!
Oh, and they carry Kealopiko too.:)

Super fun eclectic boutique in Kailua. has some great reasonably priced stuff and very cool jewelry. Locally owned woman business as well-​which I like to support. I especially love the vintage Muumuu collection. Cute stuff. worth checking out!

Lovely! Lovely! Lovely! This is one of those cute stores that you stumble upon while walking around Kailua Town. I don’t go here often just because their prices are a little high for casual shopping (reason for 1 star deducted) but this is definitely the place to go to when you want to have a «me» day or splurge.
There’s lots of colorful clothes throughout the store – fancy and casual tops, beach cover type of shirts, graphic tees, muumuus. Not much of a selection for bottoms, that I noticed. There’s a small amount of jewelry in the center of the store and the best smelling perfume products by a company who’s name I forgot. :(I know its an Australian beauty product though. There’s also some very adorable hats and adorable belts there.
The store owner was very nice and helped me start a dressing room the minute I picked up my first piece of clothing that I wanted to try on. The owner didn’t bother me at all and let me do my shopping. Its a very cute boutique and there is also a «consignment» rack of clothes. Sizes vary so girls who are small framed and those who are bigger will find something to their liking.
There seems to always be some type of deal going on when I go in, which is nice since small boutiques are usually pricey. When I went in there was a 20% off selected blouses… which brought it down to an average of $ 28. Typical prices range from $ 25 – 80, but moreso on the higher end. There is also a sale rack, which had some very cute clothes. The prices and diverse selectio seem to be better here than at the boutique next door (Olive Boutique).

The first time I walked in I found 3 dresses that I liked within 20 minutes. I was also very postpartum when I bought all of these clothes and the fact that they flattered my figure made me super giddy!
Now, about 10 pounds lighter I came back hoping to find something to wear to a graduation party. Of course I found a fabulous black dress with these gorgeous cutouts in it… and a belt… and another long dress that was again, oooh so flattering. And how lucky was it that when I walked in she said there was a 15% off sale that day on most of the racks.
One more HUGELY IMPORTANT tip about this place. The lighting is the most figure flattering ever! And I told the sales girl so too! I’m not a 0 or even a size 4 so it’s a big deal when I feel god in something. Like, when I go to try something on at OLD NAVY I almost leave depressed cause their lights are so bright and highlight every flaw. Study it the next time you go there. However, don’t pass up and opportunity to stop in at this cute little shop the next time you’re in Kailua. There’s even a new coffee shop, ChadLou’s 2 doors down for some post-​shopping refreshments.

Very cool store in Kailua… I just happened to drive by Kihapai St the other day and noticed the name… Flower Child… how cool is that… so when I returned to Kailua today I decided to stop in and see what they were all about.
Nice window display… very cute store! Hawley is the owner… she’s been open for about 4 months. Nice lady, helpful and not pushy. Nice selection of new clothes… I bought this really cool t-​shirt «Love this Life»…she also has vintage/​retro, Aloha, New & second hand clothing, handcrafted items by local artists and more.
Her flyer says Store Hours: Tues-​Fri 10:30AM-6PM, Sat 11AM-​5PM.
