Love this place. Tons of cute stickers. Lots of keiki items! Hidden spot so you can easily miss it. And very little parking space. Dont you dare park at the parking space for the canoe shop right next door to this place, old mean man will come scream at you! Evil man be ware!!! But very friendly staff at this shop, made up for it. Even if I ever needed to go to the canoe shop, I will never give them any business! LOL.

Super friendly staff I stopped after hours to pickup a bumper sticker and the lady was helpful and stayed later. I will defiantly be back for more. you can decorate a decal yourself. Totally rad. will post a pic shortly

We love this place! Great gifts and a friendly staff. The vinyl decals come on all sorts of great colors and sizes. Cute jewelry and stuff for the home. They usually get orders done fairly quickly. Sam is the sweetest!

Great store!!! Very cool idea of being able to make your own vinyl designs. I haven’t come across something like this before and I love it!!! Besides the vinyl, the store itself is so cute! I love all of the cool jewelry and random gifts that you can find here! Definitely a store worth checking out. Sam is so friendly and truly cares for her business and customers.

Anyway, attached to Kailua General Store on Hamakua this little gem is all about the handmade. I’ve used them to decorate rentals for friends’ kids (quotes on the wall, a big world map) and to make mason jar favors for a birthday party (reusable and the kids’ have their names on them!).
Yesterday I hit the jackpot by tricking out my white Prius aka. the same car as 10,000 others in the parking lot. I worked with the owner, Sam, to design a mandala that we used all over the car and she took the time to help me get it on the car perfectly. Just 24 hours and I’ve got a TON of compliments.

3^rd Avenue Shore has become my number one stop for every gift I ever need. From gifts for friends on the mainland to gifts for local friends I always find something special that is always a big hit. Not only is it a great stop for gifts but there is always something in the store I want. I’m a huge fan of the mason jars as well as wall decals and jewelry. Going in the store is always a fun event. The owners and staff are always friendly and also knowledgeable about the area if you need vacation tips. I recommend this store to everyone visiting the island as well as to all of us lucky enough to call it home.

Love this shop! Cutest decals, perfect for everything from your car, to your walls, to your laptop! The best part is that everything in the shop is handmade! The owner, Sam, is such a sweetheart, so helpful and has a great sense of style. She’ll make sure you leave with something lovely and perfect for you needs!

While perusing my Instagram one day I saw this awesome trucker hat that said «Lucky we live Hawaii.» I run and love wearing trucker hats to keep the sun out of my eyes and make a statement and advertise the hats from people and stores that I love. If I love your hat I will tell everyone where I got it and how to get there. The IG pic said 3^rd Avenue Shore, Kailua. Now, I’m not trying to sound crass but I know almost every boutique in Kailua. I’m a very serious shopper. And I had never heard of this one?! Oh it’s on! I was determined to get to this place no matter what. I first decided to spock out where it was. On Hamakua? That was a new place for a boutique in Kailua was my first thought. I started following their IG and read that It was part of 2 stores in one, #rd Ave Shore and the newly opened Kailua General Store. Awesome! I get to spock out 2 new stores instead of just one! I found it a few spots down from Boardriders and I fell in love with the front window right away. It said they made specialized wall decals and in another «ah-​hah» moment I figured out that they are the creators of the 967-​tree-​4 zip code sticker I see everyone in Kailua sporting now. I gotta get in there I thought to myself in their parking lot (3 stalls available on the right by the way) but I had a sleeping 2.5 year old and he was extra ornery that day so I didn’t dare wake him to drag him in there to break or rip something. Until we meet again my dear #rd Ave Shore.
Low and behold 2 days later I had about 20 minutes to spare before a meeting I had and the first thing that popped into my head was THAT store and THAT hat! MUST HAVE THEM! I pulled into the stall like it was my own. When you walk in you are stunned by the enormous and beautiful wall decals that they display on their walls. From the Mokulua islands to VW buses and cool Kailua slogans these logos are screaming to go on your walls at home. They are a little pricey but you’re taking home a piece of someone’s awesome imagination and everyday you look at it you will remember why you live in this beautiful place.
Sorry, went off on a tangent there. My hat! I can’t forget about my hat! They have the trucker hats available in gorgeous jewel tones like Jade and Eggplant and then black and grey. I got the eggplant cause it is so bright and vivid. It says «Lucky we live Hawaii» and i truly feel that way so it’s perfect for me.
I forgot to mention the coupon, the brilliant coupon! When I opened the Unilocal app to check in here a coupon popped up offering a $ 50 voucher for only $ 40. This was perfect to get my hat and a gift for a dear friend leaving the islands. I went to pay and showed it to her in the app and she redeemed it right away, no problem. The owner is so very friendly and was delighted that I had found her via Unilocal and IG. I am all about shopping at a place that is friendly and makes me feel at home and this is definitely one of those places. I’ll be back for my wall decal and 967-​tree-​4 sticker real soon!

Kailua has a ton of cute boutiques and this is one of my faves! I’m always excited when a new store opens close to home and this one didn’t disappoint. Every time I go in they have new, cute things to buy. Decals are their main staple, and if you want a unique, hawaii style decal for your house or car this is the place to get it. I love their etched glasses and mason jar drinking glasses too.

This place is hands down the best new local store. The decals are amazing because if you are a renter it’s a great way to add some spirit to your home with out having to paint! The owners are true artist and are always coming up with really cool new stuff. I wanted to buy my husband something personal and fun. I love supporting local artist so I went in and just asked for ideas. Sam and I brainstormed and she came up with a bad ass score board for my husband’s darts. Man cave complete!!! I also have a really cool wave on my front door, 2 sea turtles creeping around a corner and I beautiful decal of the island chain on my water bottle and car. For Christmas I bought two mini mason jars with decals for my little cousins and filled it with colored pop corn. They love the glasses. This place has so much to look at and if you want a special gift just go in and talk to them. They can help turn your ideas into reality.

Love this new shop! The owner is amazingly sweet and the customer service is always great! I love that everything in the store is handmade and she supports local artists! It’s definite a shop worth checking out! I LOVE my new Mokes decal for my laptop!

3^rd Ave Shore is the diamond in the rough! You feel inspired walking in and want to buy so many different things to embellish your walls, send a gift to a friend, or pick up a little something for a special someone. Sam is lovely to work with and will even create a wall decal (that won’t peel your paint if you decide to remove it or move out=happy landlord!) to fit your space. I love waking up to my favorite quote, «The cure for anything is saltwater: sweat, tears or the sea.»
