I was so thrilled with my dealings with Sears in Kona. I went in to look for a fridge. They had a gorgeous Kenmore Elite right there INSTOCK. Actually on the island! When I saw a little dent in the stainless steel in the top corner the manager didn’t haggle about it, he immediately offered me 10% off. Lowes and Home Depot would have fought me tooth and nail about any discount. I know, because I bought other appliances at those stores. The manager also held the fridge for me for four days so that I could participate in an additional 10% sale that started four days later. He didn’t have to mention that a sale was starting later in the week that would save me more money. I ended up also buying a washer/dryer and a stand up freezer. When we came to pick them up, the items were completely ready to go. Boxed, wrapped in mover’s Saran wrap and waiting. That DIDNOT happen when I went to Lowes to get my appliances. Lowes was a crap show that took 3 hours to straighten out before I could take my things home. At Sears, we were loaded and leaving in 30 minutes. It was a breeze. When we got home we discovered another dent in the fridge. I called Sears and the manager offered me additional money off or a new fridge door. Again, no haggling or anything. Just good business. I absolutely recommend Sears in Kona to anyone looking to buy applainces, or anything for that matter, on the west side of the island.
