History

Established in 2005.

Formerly known as the dress and bead shop called «Fabulous», Sandra’s Consignment came out of the fire of the recession as a phoenix of phine stuffs. Sandra, the warehouse owner, hired another displaced small-business-owner Sarah for a day or two of help. After seeing the potential for time to paddle canoes, throw pottery and generally have a life, Sandra leased the business to Sarah and her husband David. They are curating a collection of beautiful, unusual, everyday and gift items for your enjoyment. Like an art installation, you can come in and browse and see what story is displayed today… the scenery changes throughout the day.

Meet the Manager

Sarah C.

Manager

Sarah is a plain-as-dirt gal who has chosen a varied path to the consignment shop. She loves working at Hawaii Consignment because of the people who stop in to visit, the infinite variety of items coming in the door, and the community network it reflects.

Former careers included restaurant hostessing, legal secretary, K-12 school bus driver, teacher, speech-language pathologist, and technology coordinator. Sarah opened a business with her husband David, the Tioli Creative Center, in Kona. Tioli’s sold items for creative endeavors, art supplies, and radio-controlled aircraft. When Tioli’s closed by 2010, it felt like someone had shut down Diagon Alley.

Some of the Tioli magic has drifted into Sandra’s and you can expect an inspiring experience by visiting this consignment shop.
