Clean place with friendly vendors. Got to sample honey thanks to a sweet girl. I made sure to buy plenty. Lots of beautiful jewelry made from the love of the vendors. Would love to buy every piece. Love this place!

super cute little farmer’s market that was very close to the place we were staying. I can’t really compare it to others but I liked it. They had all the hawaiian stuff variety from soap to jewelry and the main staples of coffee and mac nuts. Its not very big at all but parking is easy and very clean. Everyone was really nice as well. Also found a mac nut stand — Joe’s Nuts that process their own which is refreshing and there isn’t a bunch of stuff added to it. $ 10 a bag which is in line with the big companies.

One of the best farmer’s markets I’ve been to.
Every Wednesday & Saturday 9am to 2pm At the Sheraton Kona at Keauhou Bay Great collection of some Kona coffee growers, local fruit and veggies, and art/crafts. We probably would not have stopped in had we not stayed at the Sheraton, but this is worth going out of the way and even for kama’aina. We tried a variety of coffees and liked Mama’s and Fire Island best.(Fire Island does a kyoto-style cold brew which has no acidic or bitter taste, which was really cool!). Picked up some art and some breakfast at Mama’s which had awesome pastries, quiche, and pulled-pork sandwich… so ono! Schedule and vendor list is at:

This is a warm & welcoming group of farmers, in a BEAUTIFUL venue at the Keauhou Sheraton Resort in Keauhou, HI(just south of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii). The coffee at «Best Kona Coffee» booth is wonderful! You can get it iced or hot, & you buy direct from Page, the farmer, who plants, grows, harvests & roasts the coffee(a very involved process, I might add!). While you’re at the Ho’oulu Market, check out the amazing home-grown veges & fruit offered by several local farmers — Gail, Greg, Drew, Stephanie & more — all offerings are true to the slow food movement of transporting freshly-grown food from farm to market, in as few miles as possible. You may also purchase fresh flower Hawaiian leis, made by Stephanie, right in front of you! Stephanie offers leis, flowers & fruit grown on her farm in Captain Cook. If you are interested in hand-made arts & crafts, you can purchase gifts directly from the artist! Ho’oulu is a great destination farmer’s market for breakfast & lunch, too. They have a shady place to sit in front of the live musical entertainment, while you enjoy your food. The best market on the Big Island!
