As the name suggests, they specialize in Hawaiian sailboarding techniques that lead to faster learning and a more entertaining sea sport experience. Paired with experienced instructors on the water with you, lesson types include: * Windsurfing: Designed to service every skill level, they have a lesson plan for you. As a beginner, you learn straight away how to sail out and back, control sailpower, and steer the board. On the advanced end, you learn to tack or jibe a shortboard, loop, wave sail, and freestyle. * Kitesurfing: If not the introductory «Discover Kitesurfing» lesson, immerse yourself in three days of fundamentals with «Learn to Rip.» Giving you the opportunity to perfect the basics, you learn to set up, launch, fly, and land your kite, among other skills. For added direction and confidence, your instructor will be on the water with you to guide you through all the moves. * Stand up paddle lessons: Catering to the popularity of this activity, HST Windsurfing & Kitesurfing School will teach paddlers of all levels. Alan Cadiz I.

Business Owner

Alan Cadiz, an accomplished Windsurfing World Cup Pro, founded Maui’s premier windsurfing school in 1985, filling the need for performance lessons on the Valley Isle. Using his knowledge and expertise, Alan and the staff at HST, continue to bring Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Stand-​Up-​Paddling instruction to the highest level. In 2013, Alan welcomes Scott Trudon to lead our Stand-​Up Paddling and surfing divisions. He brings in-​depth knowledge of the ocean and incredible enthusiasm for the sport to each and every lesson.
