What a fucking joke I watched two people walk in and walk straight to the counter just cause they knew the lady working the window. While 50+ of us did the right thing and got a number and waited to be called. Fuck this place.

Better than you’d expect for a DMV office.
The Kihei office is small, cramped, with no one to answer questions before you wait a good while for your number to be called. But the people do a good job and I was out in less than an hour.

While I try to avoid coming here in person to do business, I was forced to, due to an error on my part along with confusing & misleading mail-​in directions for submitting additional forms along with payment for my better-half’s car.
I arrived around 11am and was out of there within 45 mins, even though I was there for car registration which is one of the more common forms of biz. Personally I think it’s a very efficient set-​up. You stand in line for the one person at the info counter. Tell him/​her what you need and they give you a ticket. Sit down, check the electronic boards for your number and you’re done!
For the amount of people this office has to serve, it went by smoothly & quickly.
