Meet the Business Owner

Giovanni Steven C.

Business Owner

Giovanni «Steven» Cappelli arrived in Maui from its native Italy in 1986. Since then he has devoted himself to make Maui’s lifestyle the happiest it can be, Italian style. Gorgeous food, dancing and live music made Casanova the center of Makawao lifestyle and still it is after more than 20 years. In 2009, at the deep end of Maui’s economic recession, he saw an opportunity in revitalizing the closed Mañana Garge space, in Kahului. An opportunity to continue to improve our community lifestyle, one pasta at a time, and the opportunity to take off from unemployement more than 30 talented Restaurants workers. And Bisro Casanova was born.
