We are a BBQ Restaurant located in Kaaawa on the Windward side of the island of Oahu, in beautiful Hawaii. We always use the finest ingredients. All of our meat is dry-​rubbed with our special seasoning and smoked for hours with a blend of hickory, and tropical woods. This is our, «low and slow» approach to cooking. You can choose beef brisket, pork shoulder or ribs to make a mouth watering plate or sandwich. We add our Original BBQ Sauce that is a thick homestyle sauce, loaded with onions and garlic but not too spicy. We make our own bread fresh, everyday for our bbq sandwiches, and burgers. We also have a great line up of smoothies, coffee drinks, and shave ice.

History

Established in 2004.

My wife and I started this business from a hot dog cart that we customized, and sold many bbq beef brisket, pork shoulder, and chicken sandwiches all over the island. Our lucky break happened when we were given a contract, allowing us to sell our sandwiches at the Aloha Stadium for the swap meet, 3 times a week, the UH football games, and the Pro Bowl. In August 2005, we opened our bbq restaurant in Kaaawa, and expanded our menu to include coffee, and latte’s, original smoothies, and acai’ bowls made with homemade granola, and more recently, freshly baked items, including malasadas, and specialty artisan rolls. All of our bread for our burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches are baked fresh here at Uncle Bobo’s everyday.
