Rabbit Hole Brewing

We had the most wonderful new possible on our first visit to Rabbit Hole Brewing. This location is off the beaten path so you need to know where you are going. Once you are there, take a step through the «Rabbit Hole» from Alice in Wonderland and just enjoy the great beer and the fellowship.
The day we went they had 5 beers on tap. It sounds like they have three that are available on a regular basis and then there were two that were more of a seasonal choice. We were greeted and welcomed by a very nice gentleman and were able to purchase a logo pint glass and tokens for three pints for $ 10.00. Really a great deal if you think about it. It looks like they will have different promotion items for sale and on that day it was a cozy for pint glasses, a cool add on for just $ 5.00.
Once you have your glass you are able to go in and try the different beers. The seating is all outdoors so make sure that you plan accordingly for the weather. In addition to the seating area they had a number of games that you could play while enjoying your beer with friends.
We went by ourselves and would share that everyone was very friendly. We met a number of new people and had great conversations with them. Before we knew it we had spend 2 hours and drink 2 beers each. I saw that a number of people brought munchies with them, which is a great idea and I will be bringing some snacks next time. This would be a great place for a food truck to visit as well on a nice sunny afternoon.
We will definitely be back to take another trip down the Rabbit Hole!

Great selection of tasty beers and friendly staff. Very small venue, nothing fancy. I’d probably come more often if there were more umbrellas.

Great little Brewery that is growing at a steady rate. Me and my old lady enjoyed our visit to their Saturday afternoon tour. $ 10 for a souvenir glass with three full pint samples. European inspired beers that pack a Texas size punch

Came here for there Saturday night under the stars evening. Same deal as most breweries, $ 10 gets you a glass and 3 pints. The place was cool, it was a nice evening to sit outside. However their beer wasn’t really to either of our tastings. They do also do for DDs, $ 5 gets you a glass and one pint.

Nice little spot to enjoy time with your friends or family. They have plenty of outside seating and prepared with umbrellas in case the sun gets to be too much. They have outside games and space for the kids to be entertained. At the time we visited, they had 5 different beer selections. We tried the Saison, Tweedleyum and Rapture. Unfortunately, my husband and I, as well as our two other friends we went with, had splitting headaches that started later that evening. Not sure what to say about that…

Visited Rabbit Hole Brewery courtesy of Vet Tix. What an awesome atmosphere! The Brew Masters are entertaining, the tour is educational, and the Brew is superb!!!
The Beer Garden reminds me of British Pub Gardens and nobody is a stranger at The Rabbit Hole. The tasting room has several of their tasty recipes on tap to sample, and the free tasting glass is a very cool souvenir.
I look forward to more trips down The Rabbit Hole!

My first brewery experience — totally made me a fan!
I attended during their Halloween themed Saturday, so the brew crew and some patrons were all dressed up in their best costumes. It was a hot day, so kudos to all the effort, only to have make up running off your skin a few hours later.
They had some pulled pork sandwiches for sale that day, which were DELICIOUS and the beer set up was great. There were a few choices inside, and 1 or 2 kegs outside. Granted, the ones outside seemed a bit warmer than optimal.
The venue was a bit more intimate, and not overwhelming with people. I got to use the restroom when I wanted, and getting a beer wasn’t a totally involved affair. (ack hem, martin house.) If you snagged a seat under an umbrella, it was a comfortable way to sit back and enjoy some beers with friends.

Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends in Justin, TX. First and most importantly the beer is good. My favorite is Rapture and a seasonal one they had summer of 2014 called Wunderlust. I like to also mix the 561 and Rapture. The drive to Justin is nice and it’s not that far from Fort Worth or Dallas and real close to Denton. The people are nice. You can tour the brewery which is somewhat interesting. They usually have live music and so far, the bands have been good and entertaining. It’s small. They only opened in Nov 2013, but they are growing, expanding and adding on and trying to make improvements to their outside area (more shade, seats, etc.). I always meet new people. For $ 10 you get a souvenirs glass and a few beers and a fun afternoon.

I had tasted (and enjoyed) their Rapture beer a couple of times at Flying Saucer & Peace Burger and figured it was time to go give the brewery a shot.
The description of the brewery is a little hifalutin for what it turned out to be. The beer garden was actually some picnic tables outside with a view of some run down industrial buildings and empty lots. There is only outdoor seating. The promised food truck was actually a local BBQ place selling brisket sandwiches — not ideal for a group where ¾ of the members were vegetarian.
Most surprisingly, the brewery itself was small. Small enough that we skipped out on the tour rather than risk losing our precious seating. Seriously, get there early or plan on bringing your own chairs as several people who were clearly regulars did. Also, take a trip to the bathroom and you’ll have seen most of the brewery.
I do want to give them credit for the live music — it was a jazz group that was perfect background music. I also want to give them props for having more than one bathroom. What is it with DFW breweries inviting crowds of people to drink for cheap in buildings with only one bathroom?
The servers weren’t really interested in talking about the beer. They had descriptions of the four options posted and that is about as much information as you can expect. We overheard someone mention getting a mix of half Rapture/​half 561 (I think) that was a nice mix. I didn’t like anything other than Rapture so that at least gave me an opportunity to switch it up.
I would only recommend going to Rabbit Hole if you can get there right at noon and know you’ll have weather that you can tolerate sitting outside in.
Aannnd if you know you like at least one of their beers. The general reaction from my group was «meh» about the quality of the beer.
AND if you have called about the food and made sure what, if any, food will be there — seriously, there is nothing in Justin so you won’t have anywhere else to get food.
Oh, and sunscreen! We didn’t realize we’d be outside the whole time and sunburns happened.

Brew taste ok. It didn’ have a wow factor that would make me drive back for any. People running the place are ok. They’re not over enthusiastic, they just want to know what you want filled in your glass. They aren’t interested spending time talking about the different beers, spite the fact I mentioned it was my 1^st time there and specifically asked what types of brews did they have. There wasn’t anyone in line behind me either.
It’s really left up to you to figure out the different options to pay ($ 5 gets 1beer and glass), what beers they have or even how to purchase a shirt. I stood at the bar waiting to purchase a shirt, only to be told to talk to the guy outside the door who collects the $ for entrance. I went back outside to ask for their shirt and that guy told me to go in to ask at the bar, because he was the only one at the table and couldn’t leave. To his credit, after I told him I had just waited at the bar and the guy there said see him, did he leave his post to get me shirt (which I bought for a friend, not me).
There was no food for sale. Would have been nicer if a food truck was there to offer a bite. On the bar there was one plastic container with pretzels in it, that everyone had already reached their paws into. Area outside had limited shade. Some umbrellas/​tents were up, which if you were lucky to get under one, it made the visit more pleasant.

I give it a 3.5−4 good stars.
Smaller brewery pretty laid back. Everyone is super friendly. The beers are decent nothing earth shattering but for 10 bucks you get a pint glass and 3 tastings. Good way to spend a Saturday.

Rabbit Hole Brewing is a great craft brewery in Justin. They produce a year-​round selection of 3 beers: Mike Modano’s 561 Kolsch style, Rapture Fusion Brown Ale, and ¹⁰⁄₆ English Pale Ale. In addition, they have a seasonal brew on tap (Wonderlust Saison and Centennial Pale Ale, so far).
Saturday afternoons, from noon till 4:00, they have an open house at the brewery, which has a nice beer garden with umbrella-​shaded picnic tables, and an indoor taproom that includes a custom stained-​glass window. The brewers give tours at 1:15 and 2:30. For $ 10 you get an RHB pint glass and three tokens that are good for one beer each in the tap room. There is usually food available and frequently there is live music, too.
Tip: buy one of their pint-​glass koozies to keep your beer cooler. Also, check out their beer soap. They even have one made with the Mike Modano 561 that looks like a hockey puck (and smells great, too)!
Add Rabbit Hole Brewing to your regular Saturday activities. You’ll be glad you did.

My new favorite local brewery. The Mike Modano 561 originally lured me here, however all of their beers are phenomenal. Wonderlust and the ¹⁰⁄₆ EPA great beers. The Saturday tastings are a blast and your never know who you will run into.

Small brewery in Justin, TX. They do not sell bottles or cans (Yet) and have a weekly tasting on Saturday between 12 (noon) and 4pm. $ 10 buys you the pint-​glass and 3 fills.
Volunteers are gratefully accepted for jobs around the brewery including kegging, mashing, labeling kegs, cleaning kegs, working the tastings etc. They pay in beer. Best wages out there!

Great place!!! Love the craft table for kids and corn hole games. Can’t take your beer on the tour which was a bummer but it’s not a long tour. Live music, fun with friends/​family and great beer who could ask for more!

Visited this brewery today and had a really fun time hanging out with friends. Ten bucks gets you a pint glass and 3 beers. They only have two beers right now, the Mike Modano’s 561 Kolsch style beer and Rapture Fusion Brown Ale both are really good! The brewery is nice lots of picnic tables outside and since it was chilly today they had two heaters outside, very awesome! They do a short tour if you are interested, I just came for the beer and food lol. The owners and staff were all very nice, very friendly and even gave me a cool Rabbit Hole sticker. The food truck parked there today The Waffle Wagon was delicious and the Live music was good too!
