Paradise Knolls Golf Course

Poor grounds, grass overgrown, and way to many leaves throughout the entire course. Makes it impossible to even find your best shots. Could use some TLC.

Played here on Wednesday, 7/​29, 11am tee time for $ 25+ cart with a group of friends. This course is okay for what it is and offers wide open spaces. Grass is usually thick and easy to lose balls, so keep an eye out after you swing.
When I checked in at pro shop, Jeff took my payment. Then he asked me for my zip code. That’s cool, I know organizations like to know what their clientele are coming from. Then he asked me for my phone number (in my mind I was thinking, I just met this guy and he wants my number that’s a little fast, lol). When I asked him why he needed my number when I already wrote my number on the golf cart sheet, that’s when he gave me attitude and said, well if you don’t want free golf then you don’t have to get it. I understand he was trying to enter me into their system so I could receive promotions or something like that. He thought I was being rude. WTF?! This is how I would ask paying customers, «Excuse me, we are running a promotion here for deals and free golf. Would you mind if we entered your information into our system?» Good customer service is the foundation to any organization.
The bar area is cool. They have plenty of options. I will be back. Hopefully things go better in pro shop.

Went yesterday on 5÷11÷2014 to take my father out on a descent course, I’ve played here before and never had a problem but after returning to play it one more time. When we checked in they failed to tell us that the greens had been arrogated and full of sand. Which made it really shitty to putt or play on. The other problem was their tee times were so close together leaving us to only rush with big groups behind us and not being able to play at steady pace. I definitely would of took my money elsewhere and played at another course. The best part was the breakfast sandwich other than that I won’t be back for long time.

I waited awhile before posting this review because the bartender, I think her name is Patricia, referred to a hungry homeless man as a DOG! I wanted to buy him something to eat, and I did, even though she said I couldn’t. I get it, businesses don’t want loitering or people who are different hanging around their doors. They say it scares away good paying customers. Well I say, your inhumanity scared this good paying customer to never visit this establishment ever again. I tell everyone I know about this indifferent place and they will never go here either! Plus it’s a crappy course!

You get what you pay for.
Good for beginners or golf ears on a budget

Paradise knolls is now on my never play list… this course is really run down, shitty tee time management. I understand that this is a business. I get it. but hey if you have a weekly Tuesday skins game don’t make a 09:35 tee time available if you are not gonna start us until 10:00. I got there at 09:00 to chip and putt before my round. I had to wait 30 mins after my scheduled tee time to start. Waiting every single shot. Really hard to get in a rhythm. The only thing this course has going for them is their greens. Pretty good condition.

This course will never be anything great but it sure does look a lot nicer then I remember from a few years ago but its still not great or even good.
its the cheapest course around and remember that’s the players you get also. only reason I came here is because I took a friend who just started playing otherwise I wouldn’t play here.

For the price can’t complain to much, tee time was late, about 15 minutes. Had to wait behind three groups and wait at every hole. Golfers hit into your fairway quite often. Overall wasn’t to bad, I would go again for a casual game.

I guess tee times mean nothing here. I’ve been here a few times over the last year and they are always running behind, have booked too many golfers, and don’t really seem to care. Not sure I’ll be back.

This course was a lot of fun. Greens were in great shape. Less than 40 $ for a par 72. If you have a glow ball, you can start at 5 am. Staff was very nice. I drive from Fullerton to play this course, and I’m happy everytime! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was that they put out groups on the back, so when we hit the turn we had to wait. It seams like all the courses are doing this lately, but I will keep complaining til they stop. If you’re the first group out, you should NEVER have to wait.

Always fun, very forgiving layout.

Pros:

Very Inexpensive ($ 19 per person weekday) but not worth it IMO.
Cons:
No place to warm up swing — no driving range or hitting net, only a putting green.
Ranger was a jerk
Packed tee times in way too tight, felt pressured that we had to play fast — ruined the day
Notes:
I have never played at a course that didn’t have anywhere to warm up before playing? What the heck? Consequently the first several holes I felt I played horrible. This was compounded by a feeling very rushed. The tee time was running about 20 minutes behind and they were really packed in, there was a line of several golf carts at the 1^st tee.
After 2 holes of «speed golf» and snapping at each other to hurry up we let the people behind us go since they were only 2 (we had 4) so we wouldn’t feel so rushed. Then 2 holes later the ranger drove up and told us to hurry it up because there was a wait behind us. SERIOUSLY?
Never playing there again, would not recommend it to a friend.

The course is ok for the money if you get a discounted rate online. The greens are in good shape most of the time and it is pretty easy to walk. There is no driving range there so if you are like me and need to warm up before you play a round, keep this in mind… Before playing here, check their website or
for a discount. There is almost always one available for this course.

Fair price, could be super fast but Waiting on every hole… then after the turn there was nobody behind us? so we replayed 11 after a few more holes of waiting we started playing two balls each and still had time to keep practicing around on green waiting for group in front of us still in their cart on t-​box ahead. I’m a 36 so wtf do i know but I found the conditions very good, good job super! If they can solve the congestion this would be my go to for a fast round! Will try again. 5 stars cause this is golf not pediatric oncology

Paradise Knolls is your standard, no frills, run-​of-​the-​mill, dog track.
The Course: The tee boxes are shot. The fairways are a combination of short crab grass and brown patches. The rough is a combination of long crab grass and brown patches. You really can’t tell when it begins or ends. But every now and then on this course, you’ll be shocked at how nice the greens are. That’s why I couldn’t give it just 1 star. Also, some of the par 4’s are reachable which is fun.
The layout is a classic William Bell California track. Think Medowlark or some of the older LA courses. Flat and tight, but fun at times. The back 9 starts with a blind shot par 4, a mid-​length par 3, a 235 yard par 3 with a clown shoe green, and then a narrow par 4 hitting back towards the #12 tee. It’s a complete disaster. We had a good pace going until these 4 holes took an hour and a half.
Facilities: Nothing to write home about. Small bar and pro shop. Guys who worked there were cool and did a good job making sure everyone got out.
Pace of play: 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon is never bad at an American Golf run course. So I’ll take it.
Value: The only reason I played Paradise Knolls is because me buddy and I played a nearby course in the morning and wanted to play 36. Golfnow had a deal for $ 25 with a cart at 12:39 so we took it. But it was barely worth it. I think next time I’ll play either Indian Hills or Jurupa Hills. Not a bad course if you’re broke, learning the game or need a confidence booster.

Played this course on 1÷31÷11. 2:20 start time for $ 18, and finished about 15 holes. We usually play this course a couple of times a month. The course was wide open today and on average pace of play is very good.
The tees, fairways and rough are in poor to fair condition.
The bunkers are in good and on average always are.
The greens are usually in good condition, today they were sanded, didnt no that before going out.
There is no driving range! One small putting green.
This is a good course for mid– hi handicappers, if you can finish for under $ 20.
Single digit handicappers probably wont be to challenged by it.

Like everyone has said this golf course is pretty good for the price. You can usually get a good deal if you check their website or through
. For 35 bucks or less you can get a cart and hot dog with chips.
If you play during the afternoon the course can get busy and backed up. There have been times where there were too many players and not enough carts coming back, so my group was just waiting for a cart.
Most of the holes are relatively short and wide open, I tend to only use 4 – 5 clubs when I’m here. The fairways are average at best and tee boxes are fair.
If you just want to get a round of golf in for a reasonable price then this is the place to go. I believe for 10 bucks you can replay the course again which isn’t bad if you start early in the morning.

If I’m playing with my cheapskate friends, this is usually the place that comes up first. The green fees are cheap for the weekend and it’s really easy to get a tee time here. We usually play weekends at around 5:30−6am so we don’t have to worry too much about a crowd.
I like it because the course really helps your game improvement. The elevation changes are not too drastic and the greens are pretty well kept. The holes on the front vary quite nicely in length. They’re all fairly short, except the par 5 but the one that stands out is the 5^th hole. It’s a 280(ish) par 4 that some people can easily drive. On the left, you have a tall net and just to the right of the green there’s a small pond.
I’ve been playing every week since the beginning of the year and I’ve probably been to this place about a dozen times. It doesn’t compare to a couple of other regular courses we hit (sierra lakes, coyote hills, los serranos), but when I’m with my cheapy friends, this course hits the spot.

Set in the heart of the Inland Empire, this 18-​hole course features tree-​lined fairways and plenty of sand traps. Hole 12 has been ranked by Golf Digest as «one of the most difficult in Southern California.» Affordable & fun. Course does not have an driving range, and if it’s cold and wet. The grounds are very hard! It’s a good course, but do not expect a great course.

A pretty good course to have a casual no frills super-​chill round of golf.
Beware the rough. It”s pretty thick and can easily reduce your shot anywhere from 10 – 15 yrds.
This is one of the better muni/​links style course that I’ve played at, because we didn’t have to deal with too many people criss-​crossing over from opposing fairways, trying to recover their slices off the tee.
Or, was it just that day?
Whatever it was, it was a pretty damn decent day.
It was a different course to explore, but I don’t know if it was worth the trip.
If we weren’t visiting friends out that way later that night, I don’t know if we would have ever played this place.
I don’t if we would ever again.
Who knows?
