History

Established in 2011.

In 2011 Riley’s Reef was formed from the reefing remnants of Unda the Sea. Our team of passionate aquarists is made up of local hobbyists who have been creating and caring for spectacular saltwater aquariums for years.

Just like any healthy aquarium, there is always something new to see at Riley’s and we’re constantly growing. All new enthusiasts, habitual hobbyists, and even the most dedicated saltwater reef expert will find something to love at Riley’s Reef.

Business Owner

I’ve always loved aquariums; as a child I spent hours with my dad feeding, cleaning and caring for our family fresh water tank and learned to appreciate all of the benefits that come with keeping an aquarium.

After graduating college I inherited my dad’s 90 gallon and my best friend and I began keeping our own freshwater aquarium. It wasn’t long before we started exploring the wonders of saltwater tanks and after a lot of mistakes, we converted the 90 gallon from fresh to saltwater. After struggling with the challenges and a consistent source for quality knowledge and experience I took the plunge and founded Riley’s Reef.

Bringing together my passion for aquariums with an awesome team of local, energetic, and dedicated young saltwater aquarium hobbyists has been a truly incredible experience. Working side-​by-​side with some of the best in the industry I found the answer to my calling in cultivating an incredible resource of saltwater aquarium knowledge and experience.
