Ocean At the Bluffs South Condominium Assoc

This is the HOA for The Bluffs Ocean South condominium complex in Jupiter, Florida. I had a condo in this complex for about a year and a half. HOA dues run about $ 400 a month. Not quite sure where it all goes. There is a pool and tennis courts. No fitness center. The community is gated which I found to be unnecessary and inconvenient (Jupiter is a safe and nice city). Given the number of units (100+) and the range of cost for the condos ($ 250−500K), the HOA fees are high and definitely put a dent in the cost to own.
If you have a regular job and need something from the office, be prepared to work your schedule around theirs. The hours are posted as Monday-​Friday 8:30 — 4:30. I had to pick something up once… called ahead to let the property manager know I would be in at 8:30. He didn’t show up until 9:45. No apology from the manager.
When preparing to move out, we parked our moving van in a guest parking lot that was essentially empty and out of the way. Without warning, the HOA called to have it towed and impounded. The property manager was again unapologetic when questioned about whether or not action that swift and drastic was really necessary.
I’m happy to have moved out and not be paying into this HOA anymore.
