History

Established in 2000.

Walnut Ridge has been in the business of growing high quality wine grapes since 2000. It has been certified as sustainable and Salmon Safe since 2005. In 2015, Walnut Ridge opened its vineyard gates to the public with the establishment of its tasting room. The Walnut Ridge Tasting Room is modeled after a New Orleans building built ion the 1700’s. It features indoor and outdoor seating, reclaimed, hand hewn timbers, aged concrete floors, a wood burning fireplace. Sitting on a slight rise in the heart of the vineyard, visitors are afforded 360 degree views of Walnut Ridge as well as adjacent, hillside farms and vineyards.

Wine Club members «Hurry up and wait for the Harvest Party» was an event to remember. We attended with 4 friends and we all enjoyed the hospitality of the proprietors and their friends from Capitello winery from Eugene. We were welcomed with a glass of Champagne and appetizers. The servers were informative and friendly. Our main meal was a Shrimp boil. Shrimp,
sausage, corn on the cob, roasted vegetables, and Cajun potato salad. Kudos to Wendy the Chef! Outstanding! So glad we joined the wine club! We love the Sass Pinot Noir Emma!

Stumbled upon a great winery! The hosts were very welcoming and knowledgable! The cheese and fruit plate was terrific. We also had the deviled eggs with bacon jam… amazing! Pinot Noir flight was fabulous. We would definitely would recommend the Walnut Ridge Winery!

Walnut Ridge has it all. Beautiful pastoral country views, a cozy tasting room, and wine that delivers on it’s promise. It keeps things simple with two flight options, along with a la cart tastings, and a small, but changing food menu. The food pairings are obviously well thought out to compliment the wine. The tasting room is heaven for the true wine aficionados; but the owners are so down to earth, and happy to offer an introduction to what their wine is all about if you’re new to the tasting routine. I recommend buying a bottle of wine, sitting on the patio and drinking in the experience of what a first class wine tasting room should be.
