This place is a mess, totally understaffed — the only waitress there only complaining loudly about ‘being by herself and overwhelmed’, instead of getting something done.

Palm Springs, CA
Nice casual café contiguous to the Joshua Tree National Park visitor center. Basic lunches, espresso, smoothies and sack lunches you can take into the park. The park has no food or water, so the town of Joshua Tree is the last chance to stock up. Last flush toilets also. The park has only pit toilets.
