I went here recently. While the pizza was alright, it was a far cry from the Old King Pizza that was open before it was Pizza by Stout. The service was good, wait staff was attentive.

The service at this establishment is awful! My party and I arrived and waited to be seated for at least 20 minutes, there was no one in front of us we just had not been greeted. After being seated our drink orders were taken and we received our drinks within about 10 minutes. Then we waited… and waited. We waited so long that we had decided to just help ourselves to the salad bar because we didn’t know when our server would return to take our orders which were going to include it anyway. After our orders were taken 2 of the 7 people with us received their order in about 15 minutes. The person that had ordered an appetizer hasn’t received it yet. So about 20 minutes more pass and 2 more diners receive their order. The appetizer still hasn’t come and three hungry people are having to watch other members of our party eat. At this point we are getting pissed. I approach a manager about the remaining orders that at this point had at LEAST a 45 minute ticket and they are brought out along with what was supposed to be an appetizer. The manager assured us he’d take care of the table for the issues. Not to mention in that entire time our waitress had been to the table a total of 2 times, other employees were bringing our food. So we all get our tickets, the three people who waited for more than 45 minutes had nothing discounted on their ticket! The manager had discounted two tickets at the table and that was it he took the 2 salad bars off my ticket and took the appetizer of the persons ticket who didn’t get it until the end of the meal. The three people who had to watch everyone else eat paid full price! Management here is garbage and so is the service will not EVER be back. The worst part is I can’t even give them the benefit of the doubt for being busy because they weren’t

Now located in the Gryphon building! Yum! The buffet had a good mix of greens and of course awesome pizza! Great service just tops everything off so we will be returning!

We went here for my Mom’s birthday lunch. Heard it was like the original Kings Pizza that used to be in Joplin before. They were absolutely awesome! Pizza was thick and all bubbly cheese and toppings. It was loaded! Cheese sticks were also amazing. A few weeks later my daughter and I drove from Carthage to get a pizza. There was a little mix up on onions but that was no big. Pizza was good as always and my daughter is now a fan too. The only thing that I noticed(maybe just an off night) but when we ate in pizza seemed bigger all around than the one we took for carry out. We’ll try that one again sometime but I will say for awesome pie this is the place!

Absolutely delicious food. .. But the staff is so negative and argumentative and not at all personable or customer friendly. They are more concerned with saying ‘NO’ to inquiries and requests than they are being positive, and maintaining ‘can do’ attitudes and saying ‘yes!’ They must all be family and friends because they would not work long for me. Not a single person even smiles in that place. That said, it’s the best pizza in Joplin.

Love that they keep it simple here. The basic elements of good pizza are key. Their sauce is robust, the crust is perfect in consistency, the cheese is just thick enough and the meats are all high quality! Love this place!

Pizza is decent but they have no concept of customer service. I’ve been there twice, and both times it was over an hour wait to get our food. Niether time were they overwhelmed, about 1⁄3 full of customers. They’ve been open now a couple of months, they should have these issues worked out by now.

We realized that business would be fantastic, so we timed our visit for around 4:30, and service was excellent. The pizza is exactly the same, or maybe even better than Pizza by Stout, since they give you a lot of toppings and cheese. I wouldn’t mind eating here every day, except I would gain 500 pounds. Loved it and will definitely be back.

Not sure what people consider a «good pizza» but this is not it! The dough was floury and the cheese congealed on top, melted but not cooked long enough, just white without any golden brown. It was our first time trying this pizza so it maybe it’s not always so undercooked. My husband who eats anything didn’t finish his piece.

The best pizza in Joplin, hands down, no contest. I heard a rumor the owners are the the same people who had Pizza by Stout before it was destroyed by the tornado in 2011. The location is small, but right across the street from a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream, so dessert is handy. The only knock I have is that they serve Pepsi products and the iced tea is weak(they call it «subtle»). Try the Guillotine is fantastic!

Super excited to try the new Kings pizza & must say I was not disappointed! The crust was very much like the stouts I remember & there was plenty of toppings and tons of cheese – yay! It was busy when we got there around 5, got seated & ordered right away, but it did take a bit to get the pizza. Regardless, it was hot fresh & yummy! I def plan on going back and can’t wait to try things like the cinnamon apple pizza & cinnamon rolls. I have missed stouts ever since I knew it wasn’t coming back after the tornado but am happy to say Kings is doing a fine job representing! Just need a tad more sauce and some beer! One of my fave things about stouts was the little tucked away bar – great idea to complete the package. A locally owned business always has my vote!

Fantastic pizza. Heard that it’s a long wait if you come at dinner time so I came at 4:15. No wait, lots of empty tables. Fantastic pizza. Got the King Supreme and Bacon Cheeseburger. Just as good as I remember. They are not doing carry out or buffet or cinnamon rolls due to overwhelming support… Keeping my fingers crossed that those will be added later on. :)

This place is currently overwhelmed by customers, which is usually a good thing but unfortunately it is hurting their service. They currently are not taking carry-out orders, which can be overlooked because they are trying to focus on their overwhelming dine-in business. I walked in, was the only person standing by the door and was looked at by two different waitresses but no one greeted me or asked how many people were in my party(I even tried to flag one down that pretended she didn’t see me). After waiting 10 minutes we were finally seated. We then overheard that it would be over an hour before our pizza came out(after it was ordered, which took 20 minutes to do). Our table ordered two pizzas, one with jalepenos and green peppers, and one with spinach, tomato and an alfredo base. The second pizza came out with sausage on it! Not only does sausage not go well with alfredo sauce and that pizza in particular, we were wanting to share it with our friends who are vegetarian… Unacceptable! We did get an apology and did not send it back to the kitchen because it took us an hour to get the pizza and we didn’t want to wait another hour. All in all, the pizza crust is semi sweet and tasty, and there is just the right amount of each topping. Overall pizza is good… not an hours wait worth good though. We may give this place another try in a month or so, but unless the service is better(they need to hire more help and make sure the cooks pay attention to orders), we won’t be back.
