Dr. Renger grew up in Carl Junction, MO and graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1993. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Pittsburg State University in 1997. In 2002, he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Dr. Renger was in the Oral Surgery Honors Program during dental school and also received an honor award in Prosthodontics upon graduation. After graduation, he returned to Joplin to practice with the late John D. Sapp, DDS until 2005. Dr. Sapp was his dentist since from age 5.

Dr. Renger is certified to use the PerioLase MVP-​7 through the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. The PerioLase MVP-​7 is a laser that is FDA approved to treat gum disease with the LANAP procedure. Dr. Renger has been a Preferred Invisalign Provider since 2009 and is also a certified provider for Six Month Smiles. He has completed the Implant Surgery and Restoration Clinical Residency at the McGarry Implant Institute
