History

Established in 2008.

Earth&Sky Confections was opened in by husband and wife pastry chefs Christian Parks and Laura Koerth. After attending the French Pastry School in Chicago both went to work for one of the world’s largest corporate candy makers before deciding that the their passion was for crafting handmade artisan chocolate candies and confections.

Since 2008, chocolate bonbons, caramels, brittles and other confections have been painstakingly hand crafted in small batches to ensure that Earth&Sky customers receive the freshest, best quality product possible.

This is an excellent little chocolatier! Earth & Sky serves flavorful chocolate creations with many unique flavors such as like rosemary-​caramel (ridiculously good, this surprised me by being my favorite by far!), pineapple-​caramel (yum!), and habanero-​chipotle-​pecan-​praline (which I didn’t try on my visit, but it’s on my list for the future). The prices aren’t bad for what you’re getting. And the owner is patient, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Don’t miss this place, even if you only get one or two pieces. The flavors are true and clean, the craftsmanship is on point, and you’d be supporting a local, small family business. My favorites are passion fruit, bananas foster, white truffle, and peanut butter & jelly (that means there is something there for every palate), but all flavors are worth exploring. Even take a chance on the ones that may sound «weird» to you. It will make sense once it gets in your mouth.

We always visit chocolate shops when we travel and we have not found any as good as Earth and Sky Chocolates. They are just the BEST! So beautiful and so delicious! What a treasure so close to home. This is my favorite spot for gifts. Everyone is pleased with chocolates from Earth and Sky! Favorites? So hard to pick! Wicked tops the list. Raspberry Rose and Rosemary Caramel are must buys. Can’t go wrong with any of them. I’ve not had any I didn’t like and I’ve tried them all! Seriously!

I live in Jonesborough, and frequent Earth & Sky Confections regularly. I have NEVER had chocolate this good! Someone bought me chocolates from an award winning chocolate shop in NC the other day, and I could barely eat them! The chocolate and flavors tasted fake, and didn’t look very appealing.
Earth & Sky uses real ingredients and you can taste them in every bite… the mint tastes like fresh mint, and the homemade marshmellows are to die for! Each one looks like a work of art, ALMOST too good to eat. My favorites are PB & J, Salted Caramel, Roasted Pineapple, Wicked, Mint & Banana’s Foster. Whenever I want a unique & delicious gift for friends or family, I always buy them this chocolate. No one has EVER been disappointed… hope they stay in business forever!

I have lived in Jonesborough for three years but was just able to get to this spot the other day.
I got a box of six chocolates-​bananas foster, pb&j, rosemary caramel, peanut butter, and passion fruit. It was nine dollars for it but my partner and I agreed it was worth every penny. They are delicately painted and taste just as good as they look.
My only complaint is the hours. They are only open during the day when I’m at work.
