Child Custody — Custody matters are never easy, and lawyer Erin O’Brien understands that the children’s best interests are always most important. She will work diligently to protect your family at all costs.
Child Support — In the state of Illinois, child support is typically available until the age of 18, with some exceptions. Support is determined by the state and is calculated using a percentage of net income based on the number of children.

Erin Webster O’Brien, P.C., formerly known as Erin Webster O’Sullivan, P.C., is committed to providing superior legal service for clients in Will County and Grundy County. Licensed in 2004, attorney Erin Webster O’Brien spent four years building her expertise in family law with a prestigious Illinois firm before starting her own practice in 2008.
Since that time, Ms. O’Brien has been adamantly fighting for her clients’ rights in cases of Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support and more. She has built a solid reputation as a dependable lawyer because of her fresh perspective on family law. Ms. O’Brien takes pride in her work and is up front and honest with all her clients. Other attorneys may make overzealous promises, but Erin Webster O’Brien is adamant about giving her clients realistic expectations about the possible outcomes of their cases. She does not like to waste time or money, and she knows that you don’t either.

Ms. O’Brien was licensed as an attorney with the Supreme Court of Illinois in November, 2004 and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in January, 2005. Since her admittance in 2004, Ms. O’Brien was employed as an associate attorney at Chuck Bretz & Associates, P.C. where she concentrated in family law, but also had litigation experience in criminal defense, personal injury, and administrative hearings. She opened her own law practice in November, 2008 and concentrates in family law.
Ms. O’Brien is active in the following organizations: Will County Bar Association (board member); Will County Women’s Bar Association; Illinois State Bar Association; American Association for Justice; American Bar Association; Rotary Club of Joliet; Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs; and National Association of Professional Women. She has also served as a coach for the Lewis University Mock Trial Team in 2007.
