Comfort Inn North

Comfort Inn’s are typically hit or miss because they are usually lower priced hotels. This one was 76.00 per night so my expectations were low but it was better than expected.
PROS:
Cheap
Location-​across the street from the mall, right by I-​55 and plenty of places to eat nearby
Indoor pool/​jacuzzi-​actually a very nice set up
Nice lobby
Clean rooms
Friendly service
Decent Wifi speed
Onsite washing machine and dryer
CONS:
Noisy rooms-​not very insulated sounded like a herd of rhinos were doing aerobics above me and people yelling in the hallways
No exercise room despite the in room book saying there was. It’s the north, I need to workout and I sure as hell am not running in 3 degree weather.
Desk outlets didn’t work
Overall I’d stay here again for the location and value but not in the winter when I’m trying to get my cardio on.

Don’t have much expectations for a choice brand hotel, but this Comfort Inn continues to disappoint. First off we had two rooms booked under the same last name for 5 days, show up the first night at 8pm to check in and they cancelled one of them! Their reason they thought it was a mistake and of course they were booked for that night. So had to rush to find a room for our other crew member 20mins away. The staff didn’t seem to want to make this situation right and didn’t offer anything to fix it. Other huge issue is the speed of their internet, after stay here for 7 nights I know it was just a one or two day deal. It for the most part could even load Facebook or YouTube, so don’t plan on getting any business work done. Then one morning I wake up at 8:45 to them doing landscape outside my window. I call the front desk and they say that is normal to have crews working out side their hotel at early hours. That just shows how much this hotel staff values their guest.
You won’t catch me in this hotel ever again!

Pretty good for the price. Nice rooms, good staff, free breakfast, pool, hot tub, computer & printer, good location. Would use Comfort Inn again.

Excellent value for the longer stays. Indoor pool and jacuzzi, hot breakfast and excellent room layouts. The décor is nice and the property looks good. Big flat screen TVs, good beds and nice new linen.
Good location, close to shopping and the expressways.
The front desk staff is a bit confused at times and seem lost in unexpected situations. They depend on a «manager» who is never seen but works over the phone for all decisions.
I would definitely recommend this place.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and the Fairfield Inn that are situated next door to this Comfort Inn and really like the area. It’s exactly where I need to be when I visit the area — close to my family’s home. I stayed at this hotel several years ago and it was aligned with that I expected it to be. So-​so, clean but nothing special. The cost this year was $ 30+ less per night than the other two places — and I was on a budget this year so I decided to go back.
I was extremely impressed this visit and I’m picky. The place is in the finishing stages of complete renovation. The furniture, carpet, flooring, etc was all updated with a very upscale looking design. The bed was a bit firmer than I typically enjoy but it was obviously a quality mattress with quality bedding.
The breakfast was pretty good with a large selection including fresh fruits. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is 100% awesome.
The one thing I might improve upon is the professionalism of the front desk staff. They were friendly but dressed extremely casually, not wearing a uniform or even what one would generally expect to be «work clothes». One young lady at the desk had a really extreme hair cut with one half of her head shaved back and the other long. I’m all for creative expression but it is certainly not a professional look. How about a dress code for front desk staff?
