Clarion Hotel & Convention Center Joliet

Staff was very rude. When we asked what desserts the had for room service the guy told us «there’s a menu in the room, I’m busy.» As a hospitality major myself that is very unacceptable so we will never be staying here again and will urge others not to as well!

Pretty decent room if that’s all your looking for. It was freezing cold and the AC blows right in your face when you’re in bed, but the room and bathroom was clean. Food was terrible and overpriced. Service was really slow. Don’t eat there. Overall, it’s old and kind of ran down, but I still thought the bed was comfortable.

The rooms were stuffy and the room air conditioner made a lot of noise, so we turned it off, it was so cold in the room.

Had a nice large area for hot breakfast.

Reasonable place, you get for what you pay for. My family and I stayed here while visiting family and friends in the area. We were uncertain of the hotel upon arriving (the clientele, the worn front desk area, dirty luggage cart, worn and old in various areas in general, smoke smell, etc).
Our room was clean, (not pristine, but clean) (did not smell like smoke, thankfully!!) although a little dated. We have an infant daughter and they were ready to bring a crib to our room if we needed it.
The complementary breakfast was definitely the best part. You are able to chose from a limited menu in their restaurant but the serving size is great. The food tasted absolutely wonderful, seasoned and cooked very well!
We would definitely stay again!

Stinky. Dirty. Overpriced. Run while you can. Ground floor rooms have the windows checked by random crackheads, nightly, for entrance. Scary. Fitness room is a joke. Food is lousy. Frustrated.

This is one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The first floor bathrooms are atrociously dirty and all the floors on all levels haven’t been cleaned in what looks like weeks! Bathrooms are very cramped and the furniture is old. Apparently the GM only works from 10 – 4 m-​f. That’s the first problem… spend your hard earned money somewhere else!

I got called to Joliet last minute for work and book the Clarion on Hotwire. Decent price, but when I check in after midnight, the front desk lady tells me that I don’t qualify for the complimentary breakfast from Hotwire. I could have overlooked the stale smell in the room, and the dated everything in the place if I wasn’t sitting at mcdonalds right now ordering a mcmuffin because the Clarion doesn’t like my money enough. I will remember not to use hotire in the future, and not to stay here again.

Have stayed here a bunch of times. Solid place and really helpful staff.

The rates are ok and the service was friendly but the rooms and the interior of the building has a musk and smoky smell. The interior also looks worn down in parts of the hotel.

It is what isit is. Nothing spectacular but you get what you pay for.
Biggest knock, breakfast comes with the room, good, star. When you come 30 minutes prior to it closing you expect there to be food and not stale and old and being told they are not sure if they are going to cook or bring out more. Every time they have but the quality has been less than earlier. In the 4 days i have been here Sunday breakfast was the best. Funny this is when the regular crew was off.
The front entrance is being worked on and there are descrepancies that make you wonder if it is one step away from a roach motel. This place brings a younger crowd so expect it to be louder and a little like a frat house. Was here during a paintball comp and some racing stuff.
The cleaning staff is good a responsive.
