As a resident, I can 100% say I would not recommend this community to anyone and if anyone says differently and asks you to put them down as a recommendation so they get some cash, tell them good luck on getting that. Recently they upped the prize for recommending residents from $ 500 to $ 1000. Funny thing about that, I’ve yet to hear of anyone actually getting that payment. The houses are built cheaply and management refuses to admit it. I know there is insulation in the walls but I have my doubts it is rated properly. I also have my doubts about the seals around the windows. Then all of the HVAC is run through the attic space in a non-controlled environment. In the summer, one room will be so hot you can’t keep it cool… but your AC has been running and is registering at temp on the wall. The same goes for cold and the winter. The maintenance staff is helpful but they lack the proper knowledge to actually do anything to help you. I had a supervisor hold a piece of toilet paper up to a register to prove that there was air flow. Both pieces moved but one looked like a limp noodle whereas the other looked like stiff flag on a gusty day. Also, they don’t follow through on they’re promised actions. They’ll clear the snow off the sidewalks as is written in the contract but it’ll take them 4 days to get to it. Keep in mind most to all of the snow in this area is melted after 3. Then when summer comes they barely get the grass cut once a month. However if you have a fenced in backyard, you’re required to mow yours once a week. When questioned, I was told that they pay the contractor for 26 cuts a year. Do the math, with only 5 months of growing season you’re already over paying. Speaking if fence, they have a monopoly on fences. If you want to put a new one in, you have to purchase it from the only 1 approved contractor. You can take it with you when you leave but it’s on you to dig it up and then make the grass grow before you’re gone. I can’t complain about the price because it is the same everywhere when you live on base. Rent = BAH. Similarily, the only positives to living on base are the same everywhere… proximity to work, the gym, the commissary, etc… If you’re thinking about living on base, DON’T!!! It isn’t worth it. You’ll get so frustrated with the blatant negatives that it will ruin your assignment. Take your chances off base.

It was very nice location. My agency department got this location. It was very nice nice saw the plane go over as well as cargo plane. I got to see it for the first time. Restroom was nice and clean but they head to pick a day that hot. Barbecue pit was big and clean. Limited plug outlet. Good food and got to see all of my friends. But you need to be a military or Government to use this location or have a valid ID to you get this place.
