Horrible. We were interested in buying a travel trailer. We told the sales manager we wanted something rugged. He turned around and said «we don’t have anything like that» without even looking back. I think I heard him mumble «bye» as he shuffled off. As we were driving out of the lot I saw a few travel trailers we would have been interested in, but after being treated so badly we kept on driving. Off to the next lot. I wouldn’t buy any thing from these guys.

I brought my Allegro red 34 Tiffin for service this early June 2014. issues to fix were: stabilizing jack not retracting or sometimes not going down, slide out not going out on rear driver side and central vacuum not working. The unit staid there for a month and all the service man did was to push the buttons: all worked fine. So I have no issues right? During my trip from Florida to Colorado I had to manually crank up the front passenger side jack. I would expect a technician to check the springs, solenoid, hydraulic fluid, to understand what went wrong with the jack which was my main issue… but no all he did was to push the leveling button and tell me I had no problem. In September I will head back East and I expect for sure the problem to show up again.
In addition the customer service feedback is terrible, I had to call repeatedly to get an update on my unit. Even when I would leave my phone number nobody would call me back. I came to this location to fix several issues like three years ago and was very satisfied with the service and feedback. Now it appears to me that the technical knowledge/​experience is very basic and the customer feedback is poor. A Tiffin experienced service place? What a joke I am not going back there.

I’m going to write a review, partly because I believe that I may have been an isolated incident. As someone else says, everyone has bad days.
We bought an RV at RV America in late May of 2010. I would rate the buying experience as a good one; they obtained financing for us and saved us some money in the process. However, once we signed on the bottom line, things changed.
There was an intermittant ground connection in the electrical system of the RV that caused all sorts of strange problems; I can’t help but believe that this is why the original owner traded it in; lights flashed on and off; you would turn one light on and another would go off; the worst problem was that the slide-​outs refused to retract once they were out. Sometimes, however, everything worked with no hassle. However, when I left it on their lot, it was obvious there was a problem because one slide-​out was partially extended.
First time back, they were convinced that the batteries were bad causing this problem. Rather than argue, I gave them the go-​ahead to replace the batteries, brought the RV home and a week later, the same problem occurred, slide-​outs were stuck in an outward position and would not retract. Air conditioners would not work at all.
So, on the second try, they spent more time and figured out what the problem was. In the process, they communicated to me that this was my problem, they were not obigated to fix something they had just sold me. Because of that, I won’t be back. They could have worked out something to loan or rent me an RV because I communicated to them that I was living in the RV at the time. When I mentioned this, they simply didn’t have time to consider this because it might cost them some money.
I give them 3 stars because they did fix it on the second try and I recognize it might have been difficult to diagnose. However, their customer service in the process was very poor in view of the fact that this was a major purchase.

To our great surprise, RV America’s service manager called us three days after this review appeared. He profusely apologized for the bad service we received, and offered to partially compensate us for the amount we were overcharged. Fair enough.
I agree Randy, Marty does go above and beyond and I believe he was sincere in his apology. I know that must have been an icky phone call to have to make, and we thanked him.
We told him, and he agreed that it’s just too bad that none of the several service people we dealt with notified him on the spot when our job was turning to crap and we were obviously upset with the results.
While Marty is a gem, I am only raising review rating by one star, because a manager’s retroactive response does not make up for an entire crew who failed miserably at delivering customer satisfaction. I do believe Marty when he says that they have all been made aware of their mistakes and will strive to do better, but the chances of us doing business there again are slim to none. My hope is that nobody else has to go through what we did.
P. S. Randy, regarding the fork lift drop: the driver conducted this maneuver twice during our visits. The first time he did it seamlessly without any obvious bounce when the trailer landed on the lift. The second time, he lifted our truck so high he got the truck and trailer wheels off the ground. When he dropped it, the bounce was MUCH greater that time, which showed his carelessness.
