History
Established in 2014.
When the master-mind behind Flair of Country Catering and Event Planning, Chef Corey Crocco, entertained the idea of developing a catering company he knew he wanted it to be unique and offer something different to the people of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In the beginning, Corey started out by catering part-time. This gave the people of Johnstown a chance to experience his food and allowed Corey to further expand and establish his vision for his company. The majority of Corey’s menus were prepared using only a grill. This is actually how the name Flair of Country (FOC) originated; it is based off of the style of cooking Corey had become accustomed to. He admired the various flavors he could bring out of meats and vegetables by cooking everything on a grill. Today FOC has a 24 foot mobile kitchen trailer that allows Corey to cook any meal, anywhere, fresh and on-site. Menu options are endless!
Meet the Business Owner
Chef Corey C.
Business Owner
Growing up in the restaurant business, it was inevitable that Chef Corey was going to develop a love for food. In 2010 he graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Hospitality Management with an emphasis in Business. His goal has always been to bring something unique and different to the city he grew up in. Catering is certainly not something unheard of in Johnstown, but Corey’s «style» of catering is definitely a unique twist. When Corey is not catering for a wedding or another special event or experimenting on new recipes, he can be found within the trails of western Pennsylvania hiking with his wife and co-owner Mindi, racing his motocross bike, riding his mountain bike or running with his yellow lab, Dupuis. Corey also enjoys CrossFit and the life he has on his 40-acre farm in Hollsopple, PA.
