We came here for a friend’s 40th birthday party and to watch the Patriots game. The space may be in an unassuming strip mall, but it is great. There were several TVs and a giant screen on the wall for watching the game and there was plenty of table space for our party. The food was delicious. Several types of pizza, egg rolls, salt and vingear wings, jalapeño poppers, dumplings, and more. The bartender/owner, Justin, was super attentive and made some kick ass drinks. I would recommend it and we’ll be back very soon!

I was told about this place so I wanted to check it out for myself and I wasn’t very pleased. There was one worker doing everything. He was working the bar and the tables, I felt so bad he was all over the place. Bringing food out to people and making drinks, it was a mess. Although he was very sincere. This place is very small, and the parking could be a tad bit of a hassle since it’s right off of Atwood ave in a plaza. I’m not sure if they serve too many drinks to people here but there were lots of drunk people in this bar, and it was not like quiet drunk they were belligerent and excessive. They shouldn’t have been getting more drinks. I didn’t like the place at all not my cup of tea, I got the spiked apple cider, even that wasn’t good it tasted like watered down Apple cider and nothing else. My fiancé got pulled poem nachos and he loved them so that’s why I gave 2 stars and because the sever was good and friendly even though he was doing everything. I wouldn’t come back here this isn’t my setting.

The staff here is very rude and act like you are putting them out by being there. They constantly close early and one time when we asked what time they closed their answer was«when you leave». Avoid this place!

Bar 101 has something for everyone– literally. Great variety of bottled beer! Guiness, Yuengling, Smith & Forge, Narragansett Stout, Coors Light and a few IPA’s on tap. The food is fantastic everything from the pizza to the salads are incredible. The food is above and beyond typical bar food and it won’t put a hole in your pocket. The prices are VERY reasonable! They also have great deals/specials nearly every night of the week. Monday is $ 1 Build a Burger– and it is a delicious ½ pound burger! Where else can you get anything for a $ 1!!! Wednesday is .25 cent wings– a customer favorite & there are so many different flavors(Buffalo, BBQ, Asian Sweet Chili, & Thai Peanut to name a few!) On Thursday’s they have $ 5 martini’s! Bar 1O1 has– HANDSDOWN– the best martini’s! Great drink menu. There is Keno, tons of flat screens & a projector so you can watch sports, news, etc. The atmosphere is comfortable & relaxed with a casual yet sophisticated feel. There is plenty of seating, including a dining area large enough to host parties. There are several booths, a few high tops, regular tables, and of course bar seating. The bartenders are all friendly, attentive, attractive, upbeat and energetic! They will remember your name and what you drink– even if you’ve only been there once! Excellent service– all around!*

Went to Bar 101 for my first time a few weeks ago, and was pleased with my experience. Even though it’s a small bar, it has a decent amount of seating, and a fun and young environment. The bartenders were very nice, and eager to give suggestions. I had a beer which was typical, but I was very impressed by the food. I went on a Wednesday when they do 25 cent wings, and they were delicious. I got the Bar 101 wings which were a mix of barbecue, buffalo, and honey mustard and they were delicious. I also had a buffalo chicken wrap which was good as well. Overall, I would rate this as a good place to grab a beer or a quick bite to eat.

Great place to grab a beer and some wings. They do wing night on wednesday and the place gets pretty packed but I would definetely check it out, The grilled pizza are pretty good too. I don’t frequent Johnston very often, but I usually stop by when in the area.

Came into Bar 101 for my first visit to Johnston. As we were walking into the bar i noticed that the Jersey Shore was playing on some of the TV’s which i thought was very appropo considering it’s located in Pauly D’s hometown. We got to pick our own place to sit and the waitress came over promptly to ask for drinks. My balsamic chicken wrap was great and i got some of the best onion rings i’ve ever had in RI. The service was great, and the bartenders/servers were very attentive. The only thing i didn’t like was the napkins they gave us which got lint all over me. My black shirt was covered in little lint pieces which i was unable to get off until i got home later that night. They have 25 cent wings on Wednesdays(which aren’t really my thing) and great deals for food/drink during football games. They also have trivia on Monday nights which i thought was pretty cool too.

I bought a Groupon for this place and we decided to try it out on 25c wing Wednesday. We didn’t have a sitter so I called ahead to see if it was ok to bring my little boy if we went early enough for dinner and they were cool with it. We went at 5:30 and there were maybe 5 other people there so we felt very comfortable bringing him in. It’s set up just like any other restaurant with a bar, plenty of tables and relatively quiet. It’s very nice inside, set up with tvs showing different channels(sports and shark week I believe, very man friendly). The food is bar casual but the menu really intrigued us, everything sounds very appetizing. We ordered 20 wings, a loaded potato grilled pizza, and an order of sweet potato fries. Everything tasted very good. next time I would ask if they had a spicier buffalo sauce as they were a bit too mild for our taste, but other than that we were very pleased.(Probably my fault for just ordering buffalo wings and not asking or specifying«hot»). The wings were crispy which we enjoy, and the pizza crust was thin and crunchy. The sweet potato fries were nicely done as well, just enough salt. Our waitress was super nice, we will definitely return.(But next time we’ll get a sitter, my son wouldn’t sit still for anything)! Note: If you get the Groupon it is not valid on 25c wings since they are already discounted, it does not say that on the Groupon. Didn’t make a difference for us though since we got other stuff. The food is very reasonably priced. even with a soda, a beer, and a bottled water we JUST hit $ 20, then the wings were only $ 5. with tax our total was $ 7(after Groupon). Based on the photos on their website it gets hopping after dark with a very Jersey Shore crowd.
