History

Established in 1915.

Morris-​Baker Funeral Home & Cremation Services is the oldest and most trusted funeral home in the area.

In 1966 Carson B. Baker, Jr., purchased Morris Funeral Home and moved the business into a new facility on Oakland Avenue.

For three generations now, Morris-​Baker has been owned and operated by the Baker family and continues its tradition of putting your family’s needs first with a full range of services and offerings.

Meet the Business Owner

Preston M.

Business Owner

Preston McKee is a third generation funeral director. Born and raised in Johnson City, he is the son of Tom McKee and Harriet Baker and the grandson of Carson Baker.

Preston graduated from Science Hill High School in 1991 and the University of the South in 1995. He received his Funeral Director’s license in 1997.

He is a former Campaign Chair and former Board Chairman of the United Way of Washington County, TN. Preston also serves on the Johnson City Salvation Army Advisory Board and is a member of the Johnson City Evening Rotary Club.
