Established in 1978.

Baxter’s was founded by Bob and Jeanne Baxter in their basement in 1978. It was originally set up to teach women how to drive. Now our amazing team of instructors have taught over 70,000 students to further their driving education and of these students 99% of them have passed their road test!

Jeanne Baxter founded Baxter’s Traffic Safety Center in 1978. The school was initially intended to teach women how to drive. Eventually her and her husband Bob moved into their Johnson City, Main Street location where she and her team of instructors now continue to teach students and adults from all over the Southern Tier.
