Peter and Martha Khong chose to establish Island Oak Spa & Nail on Johns Island because of its natural tranquility. For years Johns Island has been known as a peaceful retreat for those in search of relaxation, world-​renowned golf courses, and retirement living. Asian Reflexology can only be practiced close to nature making Johns Island a pristine location for the spa. Island Oak is nestled in a quiet plaza set apart from the street.

Island Oak is owned by Martha & Peter Khong who support local business.

Peter Khong has been practicing Asian Reflexology since 1989 when he received his physical therapy degree in Vietnam. He has traveled the world perfecting his techniques in pampering his clientele. I am absolutely shocked that this place is still operating. The owner, staff is completely clueless, rude, and disrespectful. We called prior to visiting the salon and were told that they were open until 6pm… It was 4pm at the time… and they were not busy and able to fit my daughter in for an eyebrow wax. This was not the case when we arrived. They were still not busy, but the staff was unwilling to fit us in. Clearly, not the way to run a business… We will not return, and urge other to stay clear.

My husband and I booked pedicures the night before. Being from out of town we had no idea what we were getting into… The moment we walked it it was very fresh and inviting! The salon is clean and well maintained. However, they did seem to have overbooked themselves, two appointments came in for 10am appointments and were left waiting for us to finish. I felt bad– but then again, my service was amazing! Just make sure you can stick around and relax ;)

My daughter and daughter-​in-​law and I went in for a pedicure on our last afternoon visiting Seabrook Island. We spent a wonderful and relaxing few hours with spa treatments for our feet and legs as well as a wonderful pedicure that is lasting really well! Besides that everyone was friendly and funny and it was quite enjoyable!
We all decided it was the best pedicure and experience we had ever had.

My back has been sore for awhile and work has been stressful. I had a deep tissue massage by Blake. She was able to locate all of the sore spots and worked them out. The establishment was clean and the owners were friendly.

Best nail salon I have found since moving here 2 ½ years ago! Extremely clean and friendly staff. Many different pedis to choose from and my nail tech was very thorough. Massage chairs are awesome too. Still a fairly new salon so I would recommend booking an appointment rather than a walk-​in.
