Description

Specialties

We help businesses protect their commercial advantages through protecting their inventions, their business identity as presented in their trademarks, and their creativity as embodied in their copyrights in text, graphics, software and similar works they create. We counsel business owners on all aspects of these areas of intellectual property including ways to preserve their own commercial intangible assets and ways to avoid violating the rights of other intellectual property owners. We specialize in preparing patent applications on new inventions and representing our clients in the United States Patent Office, in preparing trademark applications to register trademarks and service marks and representing our clients in the United States Trademark Office, and in counseling our clients regarding use and ownership of text, graphics and images on web based applications. We hold an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell for ethical standards and legal ability.

History

Established in 2013.

Although I formed Veal Intellectual Property in 2013, I’ve actually been working as an intellectual property attorney since 1981. I have been a partner in major law firms and small boutiques, however, my business has always focused on the competitive intangible business assets of my clients. During my career, I have written nearly 1000 patent applications and registered or maintained thousands of trademarks. I have also been extensively involved in litigation of all aspects of Intellectual Property and therefore I am familiar with both the acquisition of rights in intangible assets as well as the protection of these assets.
